We were there for a highly over-promoted restaurant, but more on that later. Proper entrance location was vague and Google took us to "employee only" door. A long walk to a huge canopy entrance that could have been clearly labeled got us inside. Once inside, we saw a snack kiosk??? Not a Lobby? No greeter? We had to follow small signage up escalators through elevator lobby to casino ID check point? I felt like we were at an airport. We asked the guard (not a greeter) how to get to the restaurant and he gestures to the opposite side of gymnasium size casino arcade area to half covered sign of one of the restaurants. Unfortunately the DISCUSTING SMOKER SMELL we had to walk through almost killed our appetite by the time we got there. We were stunned that they allow smoking inside. Once we got to the "Cooking Celebrity" Guy Fier's Mt.Pocono Kitchen" promoted restaurant we were greeted kindly and seated right away. Our server was very accommodating and energetic. She explains menu items well and was attentive to our needs. However, the highly promoted menu items from the brochures from our lodging ended up being a bit disappointing. The food was rather greasy and the French fries were disappointing for such a high level establishment. We did try the bread pudding dessert but it was more sugar, cream and art instead of bread and flavor. The visit ended up being a risk to our health more than an enjoyable nutritional stop. Our recommendation to others is pass up the overdone flashing colored lights and ads, and find other establishments that prioritize your wellbeing over...
