The Buffet at Mount Airy consistently delivers great quality food and service.
If you’re wandering palate demands chef-prepared quality dining choices accompanied by great service, then The Buffet at Mount Airy is a must go-to. From the moment you’re asked for your beverage order, you’re off and running to a varietal feast of fine dining selections. You won’t believe how much there is to choose from including a carving station featuring a beautiful cut of prime or sirloin, grilled Italian sausage, and roast turkey complete with au jus and gravy.
This buffet regularly serves all your favorite dishes from soups and salads to nuts and a fabulous dessert station, and manages to switch things up a bit with each visit I make. There’s even a pizza and antipasto bar!
This dining establishment is invariably immaculate which is especially important to this diner and my experiences are always memorable. The Buffet at Mount Airy has fair to moderate pricing that is worth every penny and is also a great place to celebrate holidays and birthdays with friends and family.
If possible, ask for a table serviced by Vanessa or Isiah and be sure to say hi to Karen and Brittany, the managers. They are an equally remarkable team who catapult your dining experience to a 5-star experience right here in the heart of...
Read moreA big thumbs down to mount airy buffet wish I could give no stars- not only was the service people in the front off their post to the point it was confusing from the beginning, but me and my husband came to an all you can eat buffet, walked around getting our first plate at around 8:45, after that we were lucky to get a small second plate after 9pm and didn’t even get desert- before BAM, everyone starts to clean up and take all the food away; no warning, nothing, and trust me, each person is $30 each, plus tax and tip, which isn’t cheap! My husband had to request a cake they already took away- ridiculous! They should have announced either overall, or at the door, that they were soon closing- they are so unprofessional. I then spoke to Mike, the manager, who understood but admitted he couldn’t do anything until I spoke to Elaine, who he gave me her number and I was SURE to call the next day; needless to say she was no help and promised to investigate and return my call; she too is unprofessional and has yet to get back to me and at this point as a business owner myself, I’m just over it and won’t be back or recommend anyone because it’s just bad management overall from the top-it’s disappointing and I’m just warning everyone that over there, all they care about is your money and the managers...
Read moreWe try to schedule our monthly visits to Mt. Airy Casino and Resort to take advantage of the 30% discount for seniors on Wednesdays. At full price it is still a bargain. I usually head right to the shrimp and hubby for the soup, there are often four choices. He would love to see bigger bowls! But you can, of course, he just goes back for more. A huge selection of salads. I wish someone would make salads like that at home. I could live on that alone. On to various fish, meat, pasta and vegetable dishes. I have often remarked to my husband that a vegetarian would be happy with all the choices here. Then! The antipasto bar with so many olives, cheeses and marinated veggies to choose from. But, the brick oven pizza and carving station never disappoint. Back to the left hand side of the buffet for the desserts. If you work from left to right, not fighting "upstream" you have the dessert and soft serve ice cream first. So you would see the sweets first. I have a pillow on my couch that says "life is uncertain, eat dessert first." The only other piece of advice is, if you're there during the week ask for one of...
