The Spa at Mount Airy — Local services in Paradise Township

First I will start by saying I have had many massages at renowned places such as the Mansion at Glen Cove, Disney Cruise Lines, The French Manor Inn and Spa including others. We got a couples massage and not that the whole resort doesn’t deserve 5 stars but specifically Marina and Michael provided us with the best most comprehensive massage we had ever had. Marina was a pleasure to work with. From the moment she greeted me in the lounge I knew she was an expert and this could quite possibly be the best massage I had ever had. My feelings were not wrong. within minutes of laying on the table any worrisome thoughts and body tension began to fade away. It truly was heavenly. I visited twice ( months apart) for a massage, hoping the second time would redeem the first, but both were a complete letdown. To their credit, the massage room was nice and clean, with a pleasant enough setup. But that’s where the positives end. The therapist was clearly unskilled, delivering a mix of feeble taps and painfully erratic kneads that left me aching for days. Trying to communicate discomfort was pointless—met with shrugs or silence. The so-called “relaxing” atmosphere was ruined by cheesy, looping elevator music that grated on the nerves. The staff’s attitude was abysmal, rushing me out like I was wasting their time. For the price, I expected far better than this amateur hour. This place is beautiful. The facility itself is second to none. Clean modern and relaxing. We did a couples massage and were both very satisfied with our therapists. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because after the actual massage you have full access to their amenities for the day. They should have told us to make a plan of how long we wanted to stay after. Men and women are obviously separate in the shower and steam room. I asked both my therapist and the locker attendant to tell my wife I would be 30 mins. I wanted her to enjoy it as well.
