I had mixed experiences here. First of all, the salon was modern and had a nice atmosphere when I walked in. They even give you robes to put on. My stylist was Jenny. I wanted to cut my long hair short with curtain bangs and try dark ash brown hair color with lighter highlights. I even showed her pictures of the style I wanted so there wouldnât be any confusion. I actually really liked the haircut she did, just exactly how I wanted it. But I was starting to get worried when she started to put in color and my hair was turning yellow. I thought I should trust the process as that was my first time getting my hair colored at a salon. But of course by the time she was done I had a full head of yellow hair with greenish highlights while she promised that the color would show after a couple washes. âŚlike what?? I was in shock and left like that because I had been there for 4 hours and couldnât stay any longer. A little over a week and 3 washes later I got a text from them asking if the color turned out okay. I was pleasantly surprised and went back to get my hair fixed (I wouldâve called them to get it fixed anyway). The stylist (the main guy there, I didnât catch his name) was super nice about everything and even trimmed my bangs and colored my hair twice because I wasnât satisfied with the first fix. I wasnât trying to be difficult, but the color at the end is still not close to the picture I showed them. I appreciate their willingness to ensure customer satisfaction, but I donât think Iâd be going back for hair colorsâŚ. There was a girl there on Saturdays helping out with scheduling and hair washing. She was super nice and down to earth though. Lastly the pricing was $80 for haircut, $270 for...
Read moreSaw Yuji Hair Boutique when looking up salons in the area, and I am SO GLAD I gave it a chance! From the moment you walk into Yuji, it's good vibes from the music, the lighting, and the people! It's very clean and modern. They have korean music playing and the matching music video playing on a projector in front of the wash station. They have a coffee station for while you wait (although I didn't have to wait long at all) as well.
I called the same day to request an appointment and they were able to accommodate. I got a women's haircut done by Jennie. I came in with no reference photo, just told her I wanted something that she thought would look good. She gave me beautiful layers and bangs! I got washed, dried, cut, and styled in under an hour without it feeling rushed.
Yuji Hair Boutique definitely feels like a luxury hair experience but at a really affordable price. Usually for long hair stylists charge 20-40 extra. But I was still only charged the listed price of $70 ($95 with tip).
What makes Yuji different than other hair salons? -Cute coffee station -Yuji branded robes to put on to protect your clothing from hair -High quality at an...
Read moreI've been here twice: once last year and the second time recently this month. Both experiences were absolutely lovely and 5 stars.
Risa, Jimin, and Dani were welcoming and their warm energy made me feel comfortable in the salon right away. They offered me refreshments while I waited.
The hair wash experience was pleasant, too. When I had my hair washed by Risa and Jimin on two separate occasions they both had emphasis on massaging the scalp. The massages felt perfect and weren't too gentle or rough.
Risa cut my hair and I was just blown away by my end result. Even though I didn't have a reference picture, she honored what I was requesting and ensured every step of the way I was happy with my hair's length and shape. She's very precise with her work and I felt like my confidence was restored.
Jimin was also wonderful. When I brought my sisters for their kids' hair cut last year, I noticed how technical and delicate he was with his work. The finished style for both of them was polished and clean.
I highly recommend Yuji Hair Boutique, the price in my opinion is very reasonable for the expertise and consistent 5/5 services...
