Downtown Food Pantry — Local services in Paris

Can't beat the free food and the wonderful help. I'm new to the area and appreciate how convenient it is. Most of the staff is fairly friendly all accept for one older woman. The one who takes the people into the building and tells them one at a time. That's fine. But I found her extremely rude and invasive of personal space. When I was trying to listen to the other staff members, she was very interrupting and demanding when telling me I had to wait in the car. And while she was doing this she kept repeatedly poking me in the arm as I was trying to listen to the other staff members. I was getting irritated to the point where I was about ready to tell her off! I would give this place 5 stars for the rest of the friendly people but this woman needs a lesson in hospitality pronto! Otherwise, it's free food and can't argue...

Its so nice to have this place to help the community and the way they have it set up makes it easy to get in like you do a grocery shop and everyone is friendly it takes so much burden off for people that r low income on disabilities and seniors cause me i only get so much money a month and i get foodstamps but not enough to last a month so this really helps especially with eggs cheese sandwhichmeat and the peanut butter tuna soups it all helps so much even get fresh vegetables they gave out fifty lbs bags last month if you needed and we were able to help several people with those who couldnt get out to get there thk yall so much god...

Unlike most places who hand out pre- packaged food boxes.- here you can walk through and choose the protein, grain, canned vegetables and fruits that your household needs, greatly eliminating lots of wasted food that never gets used. Then you get an added bonus of fresh produce as well. Friendly, helpful staff is willing to walk you through if you need assistance.
