The food and service was phenomenal! We went at 7:30 on a Saturday night and it wasn't as busy as I expected it to be considering it's new. I'll start with the appetizers, we tried the fried shrimp, the crab Rangoon, and the shrimp spring rolls. The biggest crowd pleaser was the crab rangoon. They are stuffed FULL of cream cheese and crab meat and have a mellow sweet flavor. The spring rolls were a completely new experience for me. I wasn't sure what to make of the all the different textures at first, but once I got used to it I couldn't put it down! The fried shrimp was okay, but I could take or leave that one. The dinner portions of our meals were huge and we had plenty of orange chicken and beef broccoli to take home for tomorrow. The sushi was great too! I usually don't order sushi with raw fish, but I accidentally got this (the ying-yang roll), and I'm really glad I did! The flavors and textures worked together wonderfully and I'm sure I'll be ordering this one again. Next time we come in I plan to try the pho ga and John John roll. Can't wait to try more! I forgot to get the green tea ice cream. I look forward to trying that also. The only down side I could find was the noise level. Something does need to be done about the acoustics. I saw someone compare the noise level to a school cafeteria, and I would say that's accurate. I'm not counting off for that though since there was probably no way for the owners to know it would be such a problem until they opened and packed it with people. Hopefully they are working on the issue. Booths would be nice too, but that's just a suggestion for down the road. If I feel like eating in a more quiet or comfortable atmosphere I can always order to go. I've already been eating on the left overs and it's just as good after sitting in the refrigerator for a few hours....and for sushi that is...
Read moreFor a place I was excited to eat at, this place was a major let down. Especially since it had so many good reviews. Normally I don't leave reviews for places I do not enjoy, but I felt it was needed since again a lot of previous reviews were misleading. One of the main things I will say is while the food is so pretty, it tastes extremely mid. By mid, I mean nothing spectacular or even a miss depending on your palate. Besides the fried rice that was awful, everything else had either way too much sugar added or some other seasoning. My family and I ordered in total: the Flat Noodles combo, Pho, Sesame Chicken, and Pad Thai. Out of those dishes only the Pho was enjoyed. The Sesame Chicken and Pad Thai were extremely sweet, not to mention you could not even taste the peanut sauce in the Pad Thai. The Flat Noodles on the other hand tasted what my dog's breath smelled like. So that was not appetizing at all. Visual wise the place is nice, while the service seems to be a hit or miss. Ours was a miss for the most part but not horrible. Final verdict. This place is extremely overpriced for the food quality. I did not leave feeling like I got the quality I paid for. Premium prices were assigned to items that normally are considered basic items at other Asian restaurants. They also do not even show you the price for drinks on their menu or even what you have as options. The price is $2.50 per drink by the way according to the bill. Considering the town has other better options, I would recommend going to...
Read moreIF YOU ARE GLUTEN FREE DON’T TRUST THE STAFF. My mother and I both have celiac disease. And we’re very excited to see a gluten-free menu. However, that was the best part of our experience. Our waitress was told we were both gluten free because of allergy. Even when I ordered it off the gluten-free menu I told her specifically she cannot have, the regular sushi because of some of the ingredients and verified it would be gluten-free. When she brought the food to the table I had her go to the kitchen and verify that it was gluten-free. Which she said she did. Turns out she did not. After two bites of the “gluten-free sushi roll”. My mom said I think there’s something in here. There was. It was indeed not gluten-free when we asked the waitress about it. She shrugged her shoulders and said I guess I put it in wrong. My bad. She did take it off the bill but that doesn’t make a difference to my mother who can hardly walk around because of how much her Stomach has been hurting for the...
