Went here for the first time today (Nov 3rd) for a cough I've had since mid-October. (Had already seen two other docs via Zoom and tried four medications, plus one covid test). Receptionist was great but the doctor and two nurses I interacted with were awful. First nurse couldn't get my medications right and would barely let me speak. I could tell the doctor was done with me before she even walked in the room because my only symptom was a cough. Didn't even introduce herself. As soon as she heard I'd been prescribed antibiotics by another doctor she went off on a rant against televisits and tried to make me feel bad for taking the meds. (I'm aware of and understand the concerns around frequent antibiotic use but some doctors just go absolutely mental if you even mention them, and she was definitely one of them.) Long story short, she said there was nothing she could do for me but order another covid test just to be safe. She kept dramatically emphasizing that it was just a VIRUS and even making little hand motions at me like I was an idiot. Told me I needed to go see my primary care doctor and wouldn't listen when I tried to tell her I already had. Asked me where I worked, then got mad (?) at me when I told her I was looking for work. Said "I think you need to quarantine." (I'm not sure if she meant officially until I got my covid results back or just in a general sense of trying to stay home as much as possible because I have a cough.) Another nurse came to administer the covid test; she was very rushed despite the place not being busy at all. Swept out of the room as soon as she was done, without offering me a Kleenex or telling me if I was free to go. After about fifteen minutes I popped my head outside to ask if I was waiting on some paperwork or something; she finally came back and said I was free to go. No discharge paperwork. Absolutely appalled with this place.
EDIT: Itās been two weeks and I still donāt have my covid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. First of all, We pulled up to the clinic and tried calling to see if we can walk in or do we have to wait in the car because every place is different. No one answered so I sent my husband in to check and see what was going on. There was only one person in side waiting and one receptionist on the computer. Why she didnāt answer the phone...who knows. My husband and I took my two month old in because he was running a fever and his pediatrician suggested we take him to urgent care. Since we didnāt want to drive all the way to Wichita, (which I will gladly do next time if it means better service), we decided to try here since we just moved to Valley Center. The nurse we had was very impersonal. It felt like she was judging my husband and I the whole time. She looked like she hated her job honestly. The doctor/PA that was working came in and said they only see six month olds and older. I looked on the website and there is no mention of it. They also kept asking me why we didnāt contact our pediatrician. Itās the weekend so the only person we could contact was the triage nurse that worked at our pediatrician office and she contacted the pediatrician on call. The doc/PA also didnāt really listen to what we had to say which is very frustrating. She also criticized me for formula feeding instead of breast feeding. She said he would have more immunity if he was breastfed but itās too late for all that. My son is eating, happy, and healthy. Heās fed!!!! If you can help it, go somewhere else. Somewhere that takes their time and listens. This place is not worth the wait and is just a waste...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy doctor is never in a hurry when I go to see her. She is very knowledgeable in allot of medical things, and she has even helped me find the right medication for me that will help me the best. This is the first doctor I have seen in a loooooong time that actually takes the time to listen to you. I wasn't able to see my regular doctor so I saw her PA. He is very caring ,concerned, and compassionate. I felt very comfortable with him. I would have preferred a female doctor but I did not feel out of place or uncomfortable being around him. Great New edition to their practice. She continues to amaze me. She referred me to another gastrologist after I had a test done by mine and nothing appeared. Upon my second opinion from the new gastrologist they found I had a hiatal hernia that was causing my discomfort. I would have never known this if she had never referred me. I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor so I scheduled an appointment with the PA. He was very attentive too what I was sharing with him, & he agreed with me that I should stop taking the medication because of my side effects. Both my regular doctor and Dr Matt listen to their patients and take they're concerned seriously. I continue to be amazed by both my family doctor and the PA I'm very very thankful that I have a doctor that takes an interest in...
