Mother Earth Foods — Local services in Parkersburg

I have been shopping here for about 2 1/2 years now. My boss used to bring in sesame sticks and I thought that they are delicious. So, I definitely buy them in bulk. The wide range of products in this store is Amazing! The smell when you first walk through the door is so relaxing to me. The employees have always been very friendly and helpful. They are, alot of the reason that I keep going back. This shop even has pet food. I bought a sprout starting jar and will be using it soon. I have spent so much money here and my boyfriend has never even said a word about it. I'm all about supporting our local businesses seeing how I work at one myself (Poynter's.) If you have not been here, I highly recommend that you take a half an hour out of your day and make a trip and check it out. If for nothing else, just to look around and learn about all kinds of different products. I bet you won't leave...

Very grateful we have access to natural foods, products, herbs, and supplements here in the MOV. Appalachia is known for its folk medicine and home remedies and I've sometimes found they work better for me than what the doctor ordered. I hope this store remains for many, many years to come. Dave's line Earthworks has proven to be very reliable and affordable, too, for anything I have needed. The food section has many gluten free items that otherwise would need to be ordered online since they are not available at big box stores. Also, my cats absolutely adore the catnip from Mother Earth and respond to it more than any other I've ever bought. Good sales but watch as you check out to make sure you get the right price. On my first visit I was overcharged for 3 items. I caught 2 at checkout but missed the third and didn't have time to go back and make a fuss. Perhaps it was just a new clerk. I was thinking about buying soap but the ones that I liked were over $18 so I skipped it. Large store with lots to choose from and the only health food store in the area so I guess I will be back. These folks could use some competition to shape...
