Located conveniently across from PHS High School, The Pizza Place offers a convenient option for locals and visitors alike. However, my recent experience left much to be desired. The parking lot is small and tight, which can be challenging during busy times.

Upon entering, my family and I found ourselves in what appeared to be a line, only to be ignored by the staff who seemed preoccupied with their own conversations. Despite patiently waiting, we were never greeted or acknowledged until someone after me took the initiative to step forward with money in hand.

Once we finally placed our order, we were informed that our plain cheese pizza would take some time as it was fresh from the oven. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, we noticed others receiving their orders promptly while ours remained unannounced.

Frustrated, I approached the counter only to be met with confusion as they claimed to have no record of our order. Despite this, they handed us the pizzas we had requested earlier.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve upon tasting the pizza. While the flavor was reminiscent of what I remembered, the pizzas were disappointingly mid and cold. Additionally, the lack of customer service was glaring, with the staff appearing too busy and disinterested to attend to patrons.

Do, overall, my family and I left The Pizza Place feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return. Despite the convenience of its location, the subpar service and quality of food make it a regrettable choice. In hindsight, we wish we had followed our instincts and opted for the one in the...

I was in the Dudley Ave store at open yesterday. Ive been goin to Pizza Place since u all served lunch to us high school kids (when we had open lunch) an as an adult u all had the BEST STEAK N CHEESE subs around n i alaways made sure i told everyone ,I've alaways loved ur food an friendly employees but yesterday i was there at open an got 2 steak n cheese subs,2 pieces of corner pizzas an an order of wings a total of 54.00. As usual the employees were fantastic an seeing how I got there at open time the food was hot an fresh. But when I got home the subs had zero taste, not like it use to be where they'd melt in ur mouth, they just tasted blah an the chicken wings made my husband sick today. I didn't want to post this for everyone to see but could find no email for u all an Im definitely not knocking u all cause I love pizza place,I really don't know what happen yesterday.Again the employees, especially the cook was pleasant an polite,it was the food. No matter what im hoping this was a fluke because I still want to enjoy...

I've been a fan of the Pizza Place for 45 years and with the exception of Chicago deep dish it is the most unique tasting pizza I've ever eaten. So when the MOV2GO Network was on the sidelines covering the High School Football Weekly Game of the Week between Parkersburg and Parkersburg South naturally I called them to see if they would be interested in sponsoring our Tailgate Party, providing pizza for a crew of 12 students, and joining.us live on set to promote their restaurant.

Now I can understand being told no, however what I didn't expect was to be told, "We're too busy right now. Don't bother us and don't call again".

I'll tell you what... not only will I not call back, I'll never spend another dime in ANY of your restaurants again regardless of how much I like your pizza.

Your product may be great, but your management and their lack of people skills just cost you a lot of revenue.

Have a...

Ive been coming here for years now but something changed in January. While food is still very good something is off. The pepperoni rolls have been inconsistent and lacking pepperoni so it's been like eating a breadstick. The pizzas have been light on the sauce and heavy on the cheese so I've been asking for light cheese and still been getting pizzas heavy with cheese. I've considered this place the best pizza around for years and drive 6hrs round trip to eat here when not traveling in area. Ive brought 40ish people here over the years and they agreed on the quality of the food but I've now taken this place off my list of favorites. I will still stop from time to time on my travels down 77 but will no longer recommend this as the best pizza I've eaten.

Back when I was in high school, this place was the spot. Almost every day after school, my friends and I would come here, grab a few slices, and just hang out. Something about the atmosphere—the warm smell of fresh pizza, the sound of laughter, and the sight of that perfectly golden crust—made it feel like a second home. The pizza? Absolutely top-tier. The crust was always crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, the sauce had just the right tang, and the cheese melted perfectly with every bite. Even now, every time I step back in, it takes me right back to those carefree high school days. If you’re looking for a place with great pizza and even better memories, this is it.

This is the greatest pizza I've ever had. Thick and thin crust are both equally delicious. The cheese and pepperoni are exquisite. It may be a bit on the more expensive side, but it's well worth the price and while the pizza is greasy, that just makes it all the more amazing. Every time my family comes into town, this is the place they want to do lunch. After writing this review, I think I will have to go get some now.
