Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Parkersburg

This place has made VAST improvements over the past few months. The staff honestly used to be grumpy and rude, borderline mean, literally acted like I was an inconvenience to them…. The staff now is 99% of the time smiling, pleasant and helpful. The store is night and day difference with cleanliness. When I’m there, I ALWAYS see the workers cleaning the machines/tables/countertops/etc. Food is a better quality, always tastes freshly made and prepared, whereas this time last year I wouldn’t be surprised to receive only overcooked and undercooked food in my bag. A few weeks ago I did have to wait a bit longer than normal on my order and so they asked me to park off to the side and wait for my order to bring it out to me. When she brought it out she was so friendly and professional …. She apologized for the long wait, and then gave me two coupons with a handwritten note on them. She thanked me for being patient and apologized again. Now THAT is fantastic customer service! Once again, VAST improvements and keep up...

i went to 7th street dairy queen several times and the first time it was mabey 30 seconds after 4pm and they refused to give me the five dollar lunch deal. the second time i was there around 2 or 3 and they told me they no longer had it. the third time i got a 4 peice chicken basked and my chicken was burnt i didnt recieve toast and my fries were cold and had way too much salt. the final time i went i didnt get slaw on my hotdog after being asked 3 times if it got slaw. i nor will any one i know will goto this dq again. the employees are rude, it seems like they dont have any pride in their job. and the floors and tables were disgusting, i couldnt even sit down and eat my meal. since then i have went to the vienna dairy queen and i would like to praise them. they are always fast and anxious for coustomers and they got my meal correct each time. just thught i would let someone know about my experince!...

The day I was there, I was told they ONLY had chocolate soft serve ice cream yet as I was inside waiting for my order which would have included 2 mint chip milk shakes, I watched 3 peanut buster parfaits, made with vanilla soft serve go out the window, if you're going to lie to a customer at least don't let them see you're lying. My burgers were cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. I was told they only had the jalapeno cheese for one of my burgers. The other one had regular cheese. The fries were old. Had a new employee on the front desk felt sorry for her. Couldn't understand my order, had no idea how to ring up the 2 for 4 specials. No one was training her the so called "manager" seemed more interested in standing around talking to the girls working the window then helping the newbie, over all was very disappointed in this visit.
