19th Street Meat Market — Local services in Parkersburg

We love getting fresh cut steaks and hamburger at 19th Street Market. The taste and quality is so much better than what we've gotten at the large box stores. They also have fresh produce, cheeses, and ready-made items such as mashed potatoes, stuffed peppers, ham and chicken salad to name just a few items. Yesterday, we stopped in to try there hotdogs. Wow!!!! An all beef hotdog with their homemade sauce!!! It may have been the best I've had over this summer. The sauce had a mild kick to it making it amazing.

We noticed they were busy yesterday too. They have started making a full dinner at a reasonable price. Yesterday's dinner was turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, etc. People were carrying them out by the bag load. We will definitely try one of their weekly specials as they seemed to be a hit.

I thought they had pretty good meat here until I bought a meat box. It seemed like a pretty good deal for 50 bucks, but when I got it I saw they used cheap store bought meat instead of their good meat they sell behind the counter. For example, instead of using their own thick cut bacon, they gave me a couple of store bought packages of bacon that were the worst bacon I'd ever had. I saw the same bacon for sale at food land for 2 bucks. Same for the hotdogs, they didn't give me their all beef hotdogs, I got cheapo pork and...
