Discovered this gem while searching for places to see @Parkersburg, WV. Timing was great because we were hungry and it was lunch time when we arrived around area. Checked them out online and the food looks pretty good. I read that they operate a Food Truck and they do fairs and such. The location we went to is a brick and mortar Filipino Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The place is cute! The ambiance feels very "Pinas" like. It is very intimate but could easily seat about 40 (preCovid-19) and maybe about 26 or so nowdays inside... but they do offer more seating outdoors. The service is friendly and the place is clean. Their bathrooms are immaculate👍... my husband said "you can eat in there" 😆. Anyway, we ordered the Ube and Mango Milkshakes to drink... 2 of my older boys got Pork & Chicken Siopao, the rest of us got the combos... Hubby got the Spicy Caldereta with Garlic Fried Rice and Veggie Lumpia, I got the Sizzling Pork Sisig with Garlic Fried Rice and Pork Lumpia plus a bowl of Pork Sinigang and my other son got the Chicken BBQ with Pancit and Pork Lumpia. Portions are good, pricing is fair and the wait is reasonable. Everything tasted AUTHENTIC & DELICIOUS. We were extremely impressed that after a quick drive around Parkersburg, we came back to have desserts to go! 😆 All my boys had Mango Ice Cream and my husband and I shared a serving of halo-halo and Banana Roll ala Mode with Coconut (macapuno) Ice Cream. That was delish! We inhaled everything!!! This place is AMAZING! I wish I lived closer! Totally Recommend! Two Thumbs...
Read moreI had read about this place online and wanted to give it a try, so I drove two hours to Parkersburg, West Virginia just for lunch.
The atmosphere is nice, but there is limited seating. Some customers had to leave without eating because there were no tables available, so it is best to give them a call before going.
The food looked great, but the Filipino Beef Steak seemed like a run of the mill beef and broccoli one would get at the local Chinese buffet (Sorry, one start lost here). The Lumpia Shanghai comes in six pieces (I ate one before the photo), and is delicious.
Overall, was it worth the drive? Not really, but it was a place I wanted to try, and I did enjoy the food. If I am in the area again, I will choose this restaurant over most of the other because Filipino food is some of the best...
Read moreFood and service was amazing. The place has a fun atmosphere, I love the "speak Filipino" well, along with the plants. The bathrooms are clean and nice. It is well light with several booths and tables. There is also some outdoor seating. Loved the lumpia it is similar to one's I have had before. Crunchy with the right about of flavor. I got the chicken adobo with noodles and it was amazing. The portion was large and delicious. It has an amazing flavor and very enjoyable. I also had the chicken BBQ on a stick. The sause was similar to a sweet and sour. The chicken was very tender and super yummy. Overall I enjoyed the food and plan on coming back several more times while...
