When this place was on the corner of De Lacey and Colorado, it was excellent. But since its move, the place has seemingly fallen under the management of inconsiderate simpletons. I'd say that 30-40% of the time we try to go there in the last hour it claims to allegedly be open, it has closed. Doors locked and/or someone standing out front apologizing that it's closed. 25-minute round-trip drive from home ends up being completely futile, without any forewarning. On top of that, at least 25% of the time we go in the late hours, and probably more like 40%, they are out of one, two or even three of their advertised flavors. When asked about the available flavors shown on their website that are somehow unavailable when we show up, the employees now say they don't update the site. I don't know anything about making frozen yogurt, but I'd imagine it's not that difficult to NOT run out almost every night. If you're looking for true customer service and not just a smiling face, don't waste your time. Even if you end up getting there while the place magically happens to be open, and by some other miracle they still have the flavor you want, you would likely have to wait in a ludicrously long line (even if you don't want mix-ins), and it is without any doubt overpriced. ย ย ย Read moreThis place isn't as bad as the negative reviews make it, but it's not super good either. My mom somehow discovered them at their old location and introduced me when I was in middle school. I'm almost 30 next month, so it's been a while. I stopped coming here for a few years and decided to return since I find myself in Old Town Pas often.
Well, I tried several of their famous mix ins including Oreo Cookie Magic and Circus Animal Cookie. I think the Oreo Cookie Magic is the best so far. Because they use Oreos, it's not as sweet as the latter.
They do give a lot of yogurt, even a small size can be shared between two people. Last time I measured my medium sized cup full of yogurt, which came out to be 14 oz for only $7. Despite this, though, I usually eat one all for myself. The location is very good too, since it's near many shops, restaurants, and even bus and train stops.
I was craving peanut butter today so I got their Guittard Chocolate with peanut butter, Reese's cups, chocolate chips and chocolate sprinkles. It was not too sweet nor too bland.
Overall, I would come back but not too often. Gotta...
ย ย ย Read moreAs much as I love the ice cream here, they are not allergy friendly. It has been made apparent that they do not accommodate for people with peanut allergies. I mentioned that I have a peanut allergy to the workers who openly admitted to cross contaminating all the toppings except the strawberries and they informed me that washing the utensils was not an option as it requires too much labor (bearing in mind the store was not that busy). Additionally, there is no separate stone, toppings, or serving utensils for people with allergies. According to the ADA, food allergy is legally considered a disability and needs to be accommodated for. After all these years of being a loyal customer, I am disappointed to see there has been no improvement on this issue. 21 Choices has options for vegans. Being vegan is a choice, allergies are not. People can die. Do better!
Side note: Frozen Yogurt should be...
