Im in shock!! I just purchased $275.40 worth of meat along with 4 of there lunch plate's at $5.99 each. Total of $299.40 from them. I bought 2 of the 15lb Fajita Pack @$59.99 each, 1 Variety Pack @ $139.99, case of water, Sunbeam bread, 2 large egg cartons, 2 packs of hot dogs, and the 4 BBQ Plate lunches. I got home and found out that I was missing a 15lb pack of Beef Fajita meat, so I called and was told to come back to store, and they would fix their error. So, I had to call my friend to see if she could come back to take again, so she came all the way back to my house to take me. I call as we are on our way to let them know I was on my way, if they could please have it ready for me since I was in a hurry for my friend. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. We get there, and the same person that had served me, and explained that a co worker was left to put it in my bag after she had weighted it. So now she try to tell me that she cant give me the pack of meat since her boss was who put it in the bag( which is a lie) he wasn't even there yet I told her that I had no reason to lie , and I wanted what I paid for. She then asked.me if I would wait for her boss to come and speak to him after her telling me what really happened when we spoke on the phone. I told her how could she lie to me, and act like I was lieing. Then expect me to have to wait for her boss to come, putting me in a time crunch with my ride. Knowing I had plans with family for a Big BBQ that I was now running behind on preparing everything due to their mistake. I couldn't wait to be told the same BS, so I shock my head at her, and told her that I have been a loyal customer since 1994, and have sent many customers there through the years, and this is how I'm treated. That I will no longer be shopping there, & I will be sure to tell everyone that will listen about this predicament that she put me in, then had the audacity to act like I was lieing. Such a awful way to treat another person especially knowing I was telling the truth. Extremely bad behavior for business!! In these times of hardship, I purposely support my neighborhood businesses. I stay loyal. Unfortunately some don't do the right thing. It is what it is, and God saw what happened. I pray for evil doers, and move on. Thankyou for your time to hear me. It is very appreciated. If you ever do shop there, pay close attention to who is preparing your order plus look in your bags to check if the order is correct before paying. I have enjoyed their products for years, but now I'm forced to take my business elsewhere. Totally blown away by their actions. Wow, that's just stupid behavior combined with rood cruel treatment!! So...
Read moreThe meat isn't fresh anymore. It's pink and dry, semi or worse than a grocery store. If you go through it or ask them to, you might see a red piece hidden somewhere. Be careful for freezer foods. I was going through an item I like, but I saw quite a few boxes that had expired a year ago. I picked up a different item that wasn't expired. The owner stood there, looked at me, and we saw someone buy the year ago, expired item. I didn't say anything because I knew he knew. I saw how desperate he looked. I just wish his customer had read the box. I felt so bad. But I didn't want to be in the middle of that drama. Peace is what I need right now. I'm a customer of 15 years. I bought a large meat package, seasonings, the frozen items and 5 bbq plates. I used to love the fact that I saw fresh red meat being sliced from the slaughter room. They might stay in business to help new customers because of the old reputation. But they better hurry and do something to improve before the FDA notices. The customer service has to get better tremendously. I drove from the woodlands and called to see if they were open but didn't think to ask if they still slaughtered their own meat. It was a pretty...
Read moreI have gone to choice for meat for decades. I have always loved going there for the meat packages. Unfortunately things have changed. Before you could always substitute anything in the package if there is something you don't want. I have always gotten ground meat for the sausage. This time a woman working there informed us that there are no substitutions in the packages. We found a smaller package that didn't have pork in it since we are allergic and got that. Then in the freezer section the ground chuck had a sign saying that it was 10 lbs for $14,99 or 2 for $28,99 This was confusing us so we went back to Shannon and said we wanted the 10 pounds of meat. She said that 10 pounds would be 28.99 even though the sign said otherwise. When we asked her to explain what the sign meant she tore up the sign and said she would ring us up at the front, pretty much letting us know that she wasn't going to discuss it further and that we should leave. We bought our little packages and walked out of the store for the last time. I'm not sure where she came from since I've never seen her there before but she is going to run a lot of people away with that kind of...
