I've eaten at Las Jarochas a few times and have really enjoyed some of their food — their empanadas and breakfast tacos are both solid, flavorful, and worth coming back for. The hot sauce is good too. They’ve definitely nailed those items, and I’d recommend them to anyone stopping by. However, I tried their tamales today (the ones wrapped in banana leaf), and unfortunately, they just weren’t for me. The texture was overly soggy, and they were covered in a sauce that reminded me of canned enchilada sauce, which didn’t do the dish any favors.
