Two stars is an average - five stars for all the associates at this store, zero stars for their manager on shift tonight. It was particularly busy when I came in, about 45 minutes before closing. By the time I had finished shopping and the items I needed from the backstock were acquired, and I was being rung up, it was 8pm. The associates assured me it was fine and they never kick anyone out. Another associate at the cash wrap mentioned that I could pick up my items from their back alley pick up area. And was giving me directions to get there once the transactionwas processed. A few short minutes later, the store manager came over and started literally yelling at me in rapid speech about how she needed to close the store, if I would be picking up, and that I had 10 minutes to get the car to the alley but probably couldn't make it. I was trying to explain to her my car was just across the street but she kept harassing me about whether I needed these items tonight and that she couldn't wait for me to go to the parking lot and pull my car out etc. I finally said to her, if you would stop for a moment and listen to what I had tried to explain to you, you would know I said my car is just across the street. She did not relent with her harassment about my inability to get the car there in time, and thankfully, the associate ringing me up was so kind and patient with the whole situation I was able to keep my own calm. Truly an awful demonstration of customer service and leadership. I feel for the associates at the Pasadena store who have to endure her disrespect, disregard, bullying, and generally piss poor wrath of an attitude. Had anyone at any point let me know I needed to check out promptly I would have, but the reassurance that it was fine we were running a few minutes past close was all I had to go off of. I don't need much as a customer, just to be treated with some decency and like a human being but clearly that is something this store manager was not capable of...

Purchased an item on final sale, and was told by the associate that I needed to hire a service to ship it to my house as soon as possible, so I rushed to schedule the delivery service within 2 days. The associate called me and said the item might not be ready to ship until a few weeks later - I mentioned that I had already paid for the delivery service, so the associate said not to worry - the item will be ready in 2 days as planned. So I got a double confirmation that I should expect the item in my home in just two days. I rushed home to make space for the item in my house. Had to give away furniture and throw things away. Crate and Barrel called me the next day (18 hours before scheduled pick up) and told me I would not be able to get the item under any circumstances. Furthermore, they would not offer me any compensations like free shipping, refund of the cost of the original shipping, reductions in price, or even any effort to get the item to us sooner. Now my house has no furniture inside it and I'm supposed to host my boss next week. I'm going to be so embarrassed. All because I tried to follow Crate and Barrel's...
   Read moreI was shopping there last week and I asked to use the bathroom, someone downstairs told me it was located right up the stairs. The hallway was blocked by a metal rack. I asked the man upstairs and he told me the bathrooms were out of order and there was one across the street but did not know exactly where. I then told the woman that I first spoke with and she said âoh yeah after 2:00pm he sometimes closes the bathrooms so that all of Pasadena wonât come and use themâ. I had to go to the bathroom so bad, so I sat my basket down and went across the street to try and find the bathroom. When I got over there I could not find it so I asked the sushi restaurant if they knew where it was. The person at the front told me âthere was not one, but I could use theirsâ thankfully. I then went back over to Crate & Barrel to finish my shopping however my basket was now gone and the stuff I wanted to buy was put away.
