Noya Bazaar Supermarket — Local services in Paterson

I intially had a 5 star for this because this was our go to place. Now that there are other stores around and we started to venture, I had to lower it to 4 as a measure of comparison.

Firstly, price is higher than most other stores around. Secondly, the cashier women are kind of rude. They misbehaved with couple of people I know and act like they are doing you a favor by selling groceries. A lot of people I know, including my family, have started to go to either Madina, BD supermarket or Totowa. HORRIBLE PLACE. I bought potatoes from there a few months back and there were maggots in the potatoes and half the potatoes were cut in half (they basically cut off the bad parts from the potatoes and try to sell them). I went back a couple of days ago and bought some fish and when I took it out of the freezer it was completely rotten. The fish was frozen so I wasn’t able to get the smell when I bought it but after i defrosted them, they was just disgusting. This place does not value food safety, or care about its customers. This place is extremely horrible.. I would not give them any stars.. Horrible customer service. It seems they are not bothered about their customers. The fat old man who is the owner walks around the store & doesn't want to admit he is the owner. He doesn't have the guts to speak to his customers.. he pushes his workers in the front. The store is dirty and dingy, he is selling stinky meat.. he kept me waiting for an hour & still did not give me my money back. I had a very very bad experience.. I would advise no one to go there..
