We were looking to buy a microwave (with trim kit), refrigerator, washer, and dryer. We never made it past the microwave. We ran into multiple issues with their customer service, which I will juxtapose below with my experience at PC Richard.
We walked into Reno's and started browsing, but nobody every came up to help us. No big deal, we tracked someone down, they found a sales person to help us. I would give the name of this sales person, but he never introduced himself. We begin discussing what we need. He stops us mid conversation to take a personal call. These 3 things are no big deal, but range from annoying to slightly rude.
We then begin discussing what we need. He asks us for the model number of the current microwave. We don't have it because it was thrown out before we moved into the house. We do have all the dimension of where it needs to go. He tells us that it would take him hours to figure out the microwave and trim kit we need. We explain to him that this is the exact reason we came here. If it was easy we would have ordered it online. He says and I quote "I just really don't want to do it.".
Our Reno's experience summarized: The sales people were rude, not interested in helping us, not capable of helping us, and unfamiliar with one of the most common household appliance.
We then went to PC Richard & Son to get what we needed. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Dwayne. We explained what we needed for a microwave and give him the demensions. He immediately showed us 3 options and gave us the pros and cons of each. Within 20 mins, we had picked our microwave (with trim kit), refrigerator, washer, and dryer. In another 15 minutes we had the delivery dates and installations scheduled.
I do think PC Richard & Son were well above and beyond on the customer service, but Reno's wasn't even doing the bare minimum. We will not be going to Reno's again, and will be going out of our way to make sure anyone we know does not go here to get...
Read moreReno’s appliance – Paterson, NJ Salesperson – Terry Greenbaum Other contacts – Ray, Tony and the receptionist (didn’t catch her name)
We order Samsung appliances (Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Gas Range, Range hood and Microwave) in July to be delivered in October. We were promised the items will be available and ready for the delivery on Oct 28th. We spoke to Terry exactly week before to confirm if we are still on schedule and were assure that we would have the delivery. On the day of the delivery, we get no calls no contact at all in regards to the delivery. We call them directly to find out the time slot for the delivery and that’s when they tell us that they don’t have the appliances and don’t know when they will be able to deliver. I am getting my kitchen renovated and now my contractors are ready for the appliances and to move forward but we have no appliances. Reno’s provided the worst customer service. No one would pick up my call when I tried to reach the salesperson and when someone did pick up the phone, they would put me on hold for long time before someone spoke to me and assured me that they will get back to me with a date and then again did not call me back. I strongly suggest that you do not go shop at Reno’s unless you want to go through the same hassle and frustration that we had to go through. Now I am in the middle of Kitchen reno with no appliances and have to go out and buy from somewhere else which will delay the reno few more weeks. I normally do not write bad reviews but this one has been the worst experience and I would not want anyone else to go through the pain we had...
Read moreNice salesguy Tony... Good price on dryer but the best part is when they rescheduled the delivery on Saturday in the morning instead of the afternoon they called to let me know about it which was very nice because then we were able to go out in the afternoon. The 3 delivery men couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. There was a guy named Nelson, a guy named Joshua and a guy named Alex and they were so patient because my other half wanted to vacuum out the dryer vent since it was hard to get to and almost impossible with the old dryer there. We used to do it only from the outside of the house through the wall. They just hung out patiently and waited five minutes for us to do it and told us it was no problem at all. I tipped all three of them even though I didn't even see the truck driver cuz he was watching the truck the whole time and they only needed 2 men to wheel it on a dolly through my back door. they were so efficient and so nice. Having good delivery to me is just as important as having a good product. Anyway, the Whirlpool dryer is amazing and it shuts itself off with a sensor when it's dry but you can also time dry it or keep it running for wrinkles. It was only seven hundred bucks before the delivery charge, installation kit, install price and tax and stuff like that. Lower tax too since in Paterson. Beaufiful giant showroom. Dryer works great. I live in Fair Lawn but will always go there since they are great...
