Stopped last week. Both of us ordered the chicken fried steak. It was real cubed steak pounded thin, fried and served with real homemade mashed potatoes and a vegetable. Very good. Good service. Friendly. Because of that experience, we stopped again today! Daily special was scalloped potatoes and ham. We opted for the opened faced sandwiches. I with Turkey and my husband with roast beef. Substituted soup for the salad, it was Turkey Noodle! Again real food! Restaurant has a wonderful story. The family is wonderful! Our server today, Babi (sounds like Bobbie) is eclectic, helpful, genuine, quick and does hospitality like none other! She make you feel welcome from the moment she lays eyes on you and continues throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend this place for the food, shopping/buying/keeping it local and for the personable experience you probably have not experienced in quite some time! A real gem of a location. Definitely worth your time and money! We travel frequently and plan to make this one of our regular places to stop, I hope you do too! THIRD VISIT - 4 MONTHS LATER We stopped in today. Anxious to stop again. We weren't very hungry, but longed for a home cooked/ homemade meal. It was too early for lunch. So we ordered a bowl of oatmeal and the 1 biscuit and sausage gravy. Both were disappointing. Oatmeal was overcooked to a soup consistency. Biscuits were the store bought breadlike biscuits and the gravy was the typical from a mix. Not the genuine flour and milk gravy with a real homemade biscuit. If you're going to serve gravy on bread, be authentic with toasted bread like the old day SOS. At least the bread would have flavor. Service was fair. Not as friendly. They were steady, not swamped. 3rd time...
Read moreThis is a Great Place for Several Reasons. 1-Community Home Town feel. I visited there Today from the East Coast on the way through Town. And Right Away the "REGULARS" Welcomed me into their Conversation and Made me feel like I Belonged like I was Part of their Community. 2- Good Food at a Fair Price 3- Friendly Staff My Waitress Dianne was Awesome... Not Only was she Very Hospitable Especially for the fact that it was 5 O'clock in the morning which is a Great Feat in itself. But during my conversation with her, and the Regulars I was asked where I was from? Not Only did Dianne know what area I lived in Back in New York. But it turns out that she Grew Up only about 5-10 Minutes Away. WoW. 2,500 miles from home, and we were practically neighbors. As they say "What a Small World... Anyway. The Hometown Feeling was Great. I Really Enjoyed the Breakfast. The "REGULARS" seemed like a Great Bunch of Guys. The kind you could Definitely Hang Out With. And Diane Really Helped to Make me Feel at Home. Even though I'm All the Way on the Other Side of the Country... Gotta Say. Beeline Cafe located in Pason Arizona, Keep Up the Great Work. And Thanks...
Read moreThe Beeline Cafe has a character all its own, and that’s what makes it worth the visit. It’s not trying to dress itself up as anything other than what it is, a good, straightforward place where locals gather and visitors quickly feel at home. The atmosphere is laid back with just enough energy in the room to keep things interesting.
The food is solid, with portions that remind you this is small-town Arizona hospitality. The burgers are juicy, the sandwiches come stacked, and the daily specials add that touch of surprise you hope for when you’re out looking for something new. It’s the kind of menu where you know you’ll leave full and satisfied without emptying your wallet.
The people here are welcoming in that Payson way, casual, kind, and quick with conversation if you’re open to it. You can tell there’s a rhythm to the place, like it has its own heartbeat tied to the town itself.
The Beeline Cage might not be polished or fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s authentic, it’s steady, and it feels like a stop you’ll remember the next time you’re driving through.
Grateful...
