DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Peabody

Been shopping at casual male and dxl stores since I hit 6’7 at the age of 14. I’m 32 now.

In the last 5 years alone I have spent over $13,000 on work apparel and regular clothing at DXL in store and online. I’d consider myself a great customer. Now, the staff at this location is fantastic. However some policies aren’t. I purchased a coat on sale. It came in and I realized the brand ran WAY over the typical sizing compared to oak hill, gs or even Michael kors. I brought it in to exchange for a smaller size…. Was told I’d have to pay more as it’s not on sale anymore (sale ended the day after I got it in the mail)… the principal of this has made me rethink my loyalty to the company. I purchase plenty of deetstag dress shoes in the store knowing I can get the same exact shoe on Amazon at all times for 70% less… I’ll be penny pinched regardless I suppose so I guess I’ll seek alternative...

I went here for the first time all nervous because I'm a ✨plus size girl ✨and obviously this business is catered to men. HOWEVER, the minute I stepped in, I was greeted kindly and listened to as I explained my situation (can't find ANYTHING that works for me at any of the stores marketed to women, I have a job interview next week and I need a dress shirt, help) and Larry just took me to the back by the fitting rooms, did two fast measurements, and boom I had a dress shirt on THAT FITS ME?! and on sale for like 60 bucks no less!!! I will 100% come back to this location. Dude, for real, i was not made to feel like "some chick in a dudes store", I felt like "a person buying clothing like normal", and for this I am so grateful....

Its a touch expensive, but all the clothes are of high quality design and build, still well worth it. I went in on 10/8/25 in the afternoon. I think the salesperson said her name was Christine or Christina? She was warm, welcoming, professional and helpful. I needed a business casual outfit for a last minute interview scheduled for the next day. She patiently helped me pick out everything I needed. If she remembers me, let her know I got the job!
