I went to Belk recently and thought it was pretty okay overall 👍.
🛒 They had a lot of clearance items for kitchenware, and in the men’s section there were plenty of Columbia shirts along with some off-brand sun shirts. I also noticed a big selection of University of Georgia gear 🐾 (also Columbia) and a lot of Nautica.
👕 Style-wise, honestly you’re probably better off going to an outlet store if you want something more fashionable. The styles here felt pretty mediocre — practical, but not super stylish. Since I went in September, it looked like they were between summer and fall stock. There were lots of “fishing shirts” (SPF 40 ready) and long-sleeve cotton shirts gearing up for cooler weather 🍂.
🔊 One weird downside: there was an annoying beeping sound that went off every few minutes, kind of like when someone’s entering. It got less noticeable as you walked deeper into the store, but still a little distracting.
👔 I’d come back once in a while just to check out the clearance racks for deals 💸, but if you want higher-quality or trendier options, there are plenty of other stores in the same plaza — Banana Republic, Lululemon, J.Crew Factory — all with better fashion finds.
For newcomers, Belk is sort of like a Macy’s, but a little...
Read moreThis store is located in a lovely outdoor shopping center and features ADA parking at its "back" along with additional parking, something I have to consider when out with my parents, particularly my dad.
There is not enough seating areas, as compared to Macy's which typically has nice guest seating just outside most fitting rooms. However, being familiar with Belk's layout my mom and I already anticipated and located where the seating would be available - the shoe section. (My dad needs to sit down.)
But they do feature something that is helpful for older shoppers or perhaps one with children: half size shopping carts. The basket can hold a purse and items you might be considering. The cart itself is useful for someone like my dad who needs something to hold on to, like a walker, to walk to the available guest seating.
As for the shopping: I found the dress I was looking for and it was on sale for a better discount than I anticipated, always a bonus. Also, this store seemed to have slightly different, and might I say "better" items in certain sections than the Snellville location we visited just earlier this week.

Read moreI had ordered a few outfits for my son - the kind that come in sets of tshirts/shorts. It was clear when the order came in that none of them were going to fit. I brought the items in the store to return and the cashier proceeds to tell me most of the items don’t have a bar code. I tell him this is how they came and my son had not even tried them on. He then calls over a manager - a young South Asian woman who then tells me that they have had problems with people wearing things and then trying to return them. That they would not touch any of these items and I would need to call corporate. Just then my husband comes back from the restroom and steps in. He tells them that all of these were part of sets and that one item from each set would have the barcode for the entire set. How is it that both of these employees were so quick to judge that I was returning worn merchandise and have they never received these sets before? Hard to believe. The manager just said “you should be all set” and walked off with zero apology. I will not be returning...
