Oh my lord. Okay to start, our food was AWESOME no complaints amazing as always! Love La Parilla’s food it never disappoints! But our service was so bad. :( I’m a server myself for many years and I feel terrible even writing reviews, but this was just awful. We ordered queso and margs to start. Our queso came after about 7-8 minutes but we had already finished our chips with the salsa, the bowl is very small. We ordered our main dishes. We got our child’s drink AND our main dishes 5 minutes after our queso app but still no margs or new chips. They brought new chips 15 minutes after we got our queso. It was cold by this point. :( STILL NO MARGS. We didn’t even have water to drink with our meal! And by this point we already had our appetizer and food!! Our server came over and asked if the food came out okay and we said yes and he took off before we could even ask about our margaritas. I approached the bartender to see if he could make our margaritas and was told that if he made them he would have to charge me individually for them and that my server never rang them in. What?!? We finished our food with cold queso, no refill for our child’s drink, and no drink for my fiancé and I at all. Not even water to drink with our meal. Our server attempted to charge us for the margs, completely unaware that they were never brought. We explained this and he responds with “well at least I rang them in.” What on earth?!? How can you not notice that your table does not have any drink whatsoever?! In my years of serving I have never done this to a customer. I completely understand being understaffed and overworked, which to be honest didn’t seem to be the case here but I always give the benefit of the doubt. We didn’t even receive an apology. Our server acted like he completely did not care about us. They didn’t charge us for our queso or margs that we never got. Our bill was $40 and we still tipped. But good gracious. *SEE PIC BELOW FOR PROOF OF THEM GIVING OUR TABLE AWAY WITHIN TWO MINUTES * i’ve dined at this restaurant twice and before even getting to dine the third time me and my husband have decided to likely never come back (dine in OR takeout). this most recent time we went out to eat there, the server was completely INATTENTIVE, did not get us any refills, did not check to make sure our food was correct/good, did not even offer a check or boxes until we flagged her down. we decided to give this restaurant another try, came in for a table of two and immediately asked for a booth so we wouldn’t have to elaborate later. the lady acted like she couldn’t barely hear anything i was saying and made me repeat almost everything i said, & moved as slow as a snail to get down my contact info to wait for the table. we wait and once we’re contacted for a table , go inside to the hostess trying to give us a regular table. i said to her ‘oh i’m sorry we asked for a booth’ to which she responds ‘oh well it’s not in the notes you asked for a booth and you’ll have to wait longer’. so i say ‘yeah we wanted a booth’ and walk outside to wait again. then we were contacted again for our booth. as we were on the way in, within two minutes they tell us they have to give our table away. i do not know of a restaurant that is in such high demand to where they have to give the table away within 2 minutes of us not being at the front desk, sounds like impatient children who don’t want to do their job right the first time and take it out on the customer when they stand up for themselves. just because you’re busy it doesn’t mean your quality of...
