Impressive Ideas is a wonderful store and experience with how the owners treat every customer who enters their building. There are tables for those who want to sit down and work on their crafts in public. There's no pressure to buy anything, though the owners are grateful amd enthusiastic whatever supplies or tools catch your fancy. Out of support for the shop, I'm willing to buy a few things I can think of I need, as there's always something I could probably use for my art projects.
The owners are knowledgeable about what to recommend to customers no matter the interest and age. It's reassuring to find people who love sharing their knowledge of art supplies, guidance through suggestions and recommendations, and have genuine passion for helping their customers.
They have a wide variety of themed papers, stickers, art sprays, tapes, buttons, embossing selections, and so much more packed under one roof for what they offer with some deals usually going on. The owners are willing to order art supplies related to their store if there's anything you see that you would like more of or would like to have sent to their store for pick ups. They offer complimentary coffee for anyone who would like a cup of hospitality.
I've found a new home with them. I want more shops where I'm not in a rush to get in and get out for what I need unless I have a reason to. I want to take my time in a place where I feel welcomed to take my time. That has become a rarity as everything has become more digital over time. I believe this store fulfills a lot of different needs many people don't know they are looking for until they have come here. I highly recommend you check them out for the arts and crafts as much as the owners and calm atmosphere. Thank you for being one of my favorite stores to visit,...
Read moreI visited on a weekday when I happened to be in the suburbs of Atlanta. I was accompanying my better half on a business trip since I'm free in the summer. This shop caught my eye via a quick internet search. The selection here is impressive (it's right in the name, after all) and I found many items that held my interest. One of the owners, Miriam, let me investigate the goodies for sale without hovering, which I appreciated. After perhaps twenty minutes, she checked to see if I had any questions or needed help. We struck up a conversation. It was lovely to meet her and I regret that I live many hours away (roughly 12)... Otherwise, this shop would be a regular haunt for me. I am not consulting anything, just trying to recall the brands I saw for sale: Pink fresh, Lawn Fawn, Reverse Confetti, Memory Box, Colorado Craft Company, Altenew, Stamping Bella, A Renke, Lavinia, Echo Park, Authentique, graphic45, and Hero Arts. It seemed that the current (and probably future) goal of the shop is to provide products that are not readily available except through a wholesale situation. Quantities of items from companies such as Hero Arts were diminishing because the general public can order such items for itself online. I wish I'd had another hour to keep exploring, but the reality is that my wallet was already protesting LOL. If you need a better idea of the shop and the type of products, take the video tour that The Scrappy Wife created.... it's posted at the shop's website. I'll return at the next...
Read more0 stars - very unpleasant place - customers are NOT treated respectfully. Their ideas are far away from being impressive. Here is my today's experience as of 6/16/2018. I have registered for the Dyan Reaveley workshop for the weekend, Jun. 16 and 17, 2018. I have made my registration by giving my credit card info over the phone a couple of months prior to the workshop. However when I showed up today - Sat., 6/16/2018 - before 10 am I was told by Bonnie that "there is NOT a spot for me". She claimed that I did not respond to her text message to provide my mailing address (to process my credit card) however I did respond to her text promptly - she claimed that she did not get my message. She said that she called me, but I checked my cell - not seeing any calls from the store. How about emails? - I did not get any confirmation of my reservations - but I called them at least twice to make sure everything was done properly. It was a big disappointment for me since I planned my attend due to the celebration of the important date for me, 6/15. With tears in my eyes I have let the store. I came to this workshop for fun and relax. Being treated w/ such a distress and with her full blame on me - that I did not qualify for this event - caused lack of harmony, lack of heart's compassion. Bonnie's arrogance and ignorance of other staff members left me w/ the feelings of being unwanted and cut off from their place. artfully broken...
