Just AWESOME!!! I bought a zero turn mower and had to rent a truck from home depot. I got the truck at around 6pm. The guys in the rental department loaned me a set of ramps (no charge). Pulled around to get the mower and the bed of the truck was to high to load. The store manager DAISY saw me and asked if I had the mower loaded. I told ger tjee situation and she asked an associate to go see if they had a trailer that would work. They did but then we noticed the truck had no hitch. Daisy told an associate (JAY) to get one out off the shelf. He did but it was too small to fit the receiver. He tried multile hitches and asked if I would be OK with him going to his house to get one. I told him I would. I was planning in returning the truck same day it was getting to be close to 8pm. I told Daisy I would go to a local auto parts store to get one incase the one Jay went to get didn't fit. She told me she would reimburse me for it. Long story short I had 3 store associates helping me. Jay returned and the hitch did fit. I was planning on the $19 rental fee on the truck for 75 minutes. It was looking bad for the time and figured I would be charged the per day fee of $120. So I returned to the store at 10:01, they close at 10pm. I received a refund on the trailer rental and truck rental for my troubles. Daisy , the store manager did absolutely everything possible to get me going. The associates were awesome, never had that kind of help from LOWES or anywhere else. Daisy truly went beyond and above to take care of me, THANK YOU DAISY ! Jay also went beyond and above to help me. It was really a team effort. This will be the ONLY store I shop at from now on. Almost forgot Benjamin, he was with me the entire time . They all made me super humbled with all they did. So happy to see a store finally giving TRUE service and taking care of the customer no matter what. THANK YOU HOME DEPOT...
Read moreI was sent to Professor Plumb via The Home Depot, when I inquiry about installing a Tankless Gas Water Heater. After providing three different days Friday, Monday and Wednesday. I waited the first two days without response and went ahead to call. First, Chase told me that they only do quotes on Friday's and I accepted. He gave me a quote over the phone stating that the price was in the $3900s, without asking water needs, bathrooms etc. Second, I went ahead and call Home Depot and requested an explanation. i asked them how it was possible that if the employee at THD told me that there were three days for the quote they were telling me that they only go to the houses on Friday. Third, looks like someone call them as then Chase call back stating that someone has cancelled. Fourth, someone came at home. He was very professional and all. No complains here for the in house visit. Finally, I received the quote after I decided to send a text message asking for it. They game me an open check quote of $3960 with no details. The water Heater is not in the home depot products, meaning that the quote was not from Home Depot. I, sincerely, had to decline. I will look elsewhere for the installation, maybe thru Spire. How it is possible that even with my complaint Professor Plumb still messed up? Why Home Depot doesn't have a secondary company in case someone runs in a similar situation as I did? All that I explained was fir the referred company, however THD has something yo do with it as it is the one referring to this...
Read moreI'm not sure if this is a home depot issue, or an individual location issue, but god forbid you need an appliance immediately because the Pelham store apparently doesn't carry anything in stock. Not even one freaking machine. Nothing but floor models that apparently are just show pieces no days. I've bought multiple appliances at other stores and drove home with them the same day, but I've needed both a stove and a dryer in the last year and was left with no option but to have it delivered directly to my home. It's horribly inconvenient. I work 3 minutes from the store, but have to wait a week and pay a delivery fee for something that I'm left with no other option for. I can't have it delivered to their store and pickup at a convenient time and I can't drive there and buy it and go home if I need it immediately. The only option is a slow delivery that will force me out of work, so that I'm losing more money, with a stupid ass delivery fee tacked on just to piss me off. Or i have to schedule for a weekend, that i may or may no have off work, then sit around all damned day waiting for the delivery with it's 8-10 hour drop off window, and still pay a ridiculous forced delivery fee because that'sthe only damn choice! If my fridge dies I don't need a new one in a week. I need it now. If my stove breaks I need to be able to cook tonight, not in 7 days. It's absolutely ridiculous that they don't carry even a handful of...
