Golden City Pelham — Restaurant in Pelham

Was there last week with one of the kids. Had great sesame chicken with mushrooms added. Had to get Savannah a special meal to mouth surgery. Got her steamed chicken diced fine with onions and water chessnuts chopped into a paste with lomain and no scallions. Added extra garlic and cut msg. Hoped she could pretty much just swallow it. My lunch was pretty but hers was artwork. Each item had its own level to make sure she could handle it. Everything checked out and she started piggin'. In six minutes she was full and passed out. Lol. She was in full food coma. She had enough fir four more meals. They spoiled her. Tonight when Ashley and I go in the Kady asked, WHERE VANNAH. No, nice to see you just WHERE IS THE PRETTY PET. LOL. ASH GOT THE FAMILY FRIED RICE and I got the family lomain. Both were picture perfect and full of exotic flavors. Mine was sweet and hers was savory. Just the difference in the sauces. Meats were cooked perfect.

Place was beautiful. Nice tables and art on the walls. Very, very clean. Bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked. Service was spectacular from going in to going out. Friendly. Knew menu well. Got to wave our thanks to the cook. Price was good. It's a bit of a far drive for us at 32 miles. But hey, it's that good. Added to our eating...

My wife and i decided to try this restaurant because we always drive by it and wanted to see how it compares to “Mr.Lins” in Helena. The portions were awful but the prices were high. I was barely able to feed my family (of 4) i ordered a house lo mei , house fried rice and an order of mangolian delight. The mangolian delight had more sauce and onion than anything. The rice and lo mei was barely enough to complete all of our plates. The price ? Outrages for the portions and to add insult to injury, when I arrive home THEY MISSED OUR EGG ROLE. Obviously we called the restaurant cause we were upset and i know it’s just an egg role but cmon apart from the horrible portions and pricing we were fed up. You’re better off getting Mr.Lins in Helena as they charge you about the same but their portions and quality are actually enough to feed an entire family AND have left overs. I've randomly visited this place off and on for the last 6 months picking up different items from the menu, soups, lo mein dishes, combo dishes and appetizers. This past Wednesday I had to have major oral surgery with the strict instructions of soft foods only. After surgery (in my sedated state,) i mmediately told my husband I wanted their hot n sour soup and house Lo Mein. As I patiently, and under the influence, waited in the car, my husband went in here and explained to the nice lady what his wife wanted. Several minutes later he appeared with the yummiest food I'd ever smelled and he said, the woman inside said "get her home and get her better". Thank you sweet lady...... he followed your directions well.... best recovery meal ever! I'm actually heading over soon for more of that...
