2-7-24 Update: Valentineās items are now available as well as Easter chocolates! They have a cute chocolate bar cake w a red heart at center; chocolate covered strawberries (dipped in-house - first time Iāve ever seen those, I usually make myself); a variety of chocolates; pink champagne & lots of cookie choices in bakery incāl a tray of their signature flavors for Valentineās sharing. They also offered some beautiful orchids & mini-anthuriums.
I was SUPER EXCITED to see theyāre putting the Caesar Salad in packaging thatās 50% biodegradable (the bottom portion of container). One of the only drawbacks to shopping here is at times the hard plastic shells enrobing some products are a huge amount of unjustified, non-biodegradable packaging. (I mean the earth is literally poisoned by microplastics so letās do better with less plastics Costco! šš»šš»šš»). I do appreciate they donāt offer plastic bags but rather have recyclable, repurposed cardboard cartons or āfreezer bagsā for purchase which is the environmentally sustainable option. ā¤ļø. We customers DO NOTICE SUSTAINABILITY!!
Today there were quite a few nice sales & for my kids, I picked up two bags of frozen, chocolate covered yogurt drops for a great price!
Garden items once again looked AMAZING! They had a copper patio fountain for $199. that was gorgeous; tall glazed & short basic planters; hoses; roses & so much more. Worth a trip just to pick up garden basics for very affordable prices!
ā¦Iām a stickler for baking only with real butter & generally pick up a package of Irish butter most trips (Kerry Gold is the absolute best!) Great shopping today & staff was very kind š!
Prior Review: Holiday baking & decorating are easier (& less expensive) shopping Costco. I buy their 25 lb. bag of flour; Lg. Organic Sugar; Irish Butter; Lg. Tub Sr. Cream; bulk spices; cream cheese; eggs by the box; chocolate chips; fruits & all my nuts here. Wed. this week I was behind on Thanksgiving baking (family came in) so I stayed up all night & did 3 dayās worth utilizing my Costco pantry items. I delivered it up Thanksgiving & everything was a hit! Especially happily surprised to find the Pillsbury Pie Crust in freezer section this season as it saved time. Iām definitely satisfied with this yearās selections & picked up the two adorable holiday lanterns here, too. (Adding to my holiday display w the two 5 ft. Nutcrackers I purchased here two years...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to share the most absurd dissatisfied experience with Costco customer and delivery service associated with my refrigerator purchase. I had spoken to the two customer service services (logistics and e-commerce) in length of every aspect of an online purchase, delivery, and installation of my new refrigerator only to find that at delivery they could NOT install new nor uninstall my old one because of the "ice maker" not present in the new fridge. If, and not to my knowledge and even confirming beforehand by phone that they would, the ice maker was there then they would do it. BUT they don't sell ice makers in top freezer models. AND later discovered the water line has to be 3 feet from the fridge (mine isn't) so they never would have been able to do the uninstall/install process in the first place unbeknownst to me. Not to mention the liability problem (water leaks-hogwash) shared with me which I interpreted as a lack of competence on their part. Their customer service people seemed to know nothing until AFTER the fact. And they voluntarily tell you nothing you really need to know BEFORE delivery. So I had to get an independent technician do the most simple operation of water line uninstall/install on the fridges and wait 54 minutes on an another customer service phone number for Costco to have me wait 4 more days to finally remove the old fridge as per the original agreement. So I would think seriosly about considering Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Brandsmart before making a major kitchen appliance purchase (who all confirmed that complete comprehensive installation was included regardless of an "ICE MAKER"). Outside of the unfortunate above experience , I think Costco is a great place to shop for what you need as long as you've done your homework on comparative shopping. Bulk shopping is great for families that need to stock up and perhaps save. Their cafe for lunch is always a bargain. And their gas is always cheaper. But don't forget about the membership fee. There isn't much more to say excluding this experience except to say Costco is a great option to shop for a member fee, including several other services. And the gas is a value as well. Also their limited food choices (pizza, hot dogs, ice cream) are also a very good value. And they are trying to add some items to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy mom who is 74 years is visiting Us from Mexico and She like to go to Costco to buy clothes for her and her grandkids.
Last week she purchased 5 items. 3 for her and 2 mores for relatives in Mexico ( she spend no more than 75 usd) after that she went home to speak to her relatives in Mexico and she asked to come back to costco to exchange the 2 items for a different sizes (worth around 25 usd)
I came back to costco, my mom did not find the receipt ( she is 74 yrs old) and To our surprise according to the ācustomer serviceā what she bought was not on the system, and since she dis not find the receipt the manager after waiting more than 30 min, she denied either to exchange what she bought or retuning the money for her to buy it again. To me that was just ridiculous. My mom understand the value of money and she was expecting not the money back but to get the size she needed. But whatās pass the line is that the manager was implying or suggesting that my mom could stole that, because what she was trying to āreturnā or exchange was not in the system which been honest thats very rude and you should not have a manager representing Costco with that level of soft skills.
For 25 usd my mom had a very un unpleasant situation: The manger Catharine Navaās ( member ship / marketing manager @ costco 15915 Pembroke Pines blvd. Fl 33027 she should not be customer service manager. I understand Costco has policies and rules to follow, but as you may well know a manager with no common sense, criteria or accountability to identify a situation that affects a customer with a minor thing, and to solve a simple situation, she should not be working there.
Anyway, hope this helps to improve customer service at costco. And FYI my mom found the ticket. So it is a shame to have people like that on customer...
