All-you- can-eat but …..only for 30 minutes?
When I arrived, I was informed of a two-hour dining limit. However, after placing my first order and beginning my meal, I was told that I had only 20 minutes to place any additional orders because the kitchen was closing. At that point, I felt I had no choice but to continue since I was already eating, but I believe this policy should be communicated clearly at the door. If I had known the kitchen would close within 30 minutes of being seated, I would not have chosen to dine in, as it defeats the purpose of an all-you-can-eat experience.
This created a rushed and stressful atmosphere. Instead of enjoying the food, I felt pressured to quickly order and cook everything at once just to fit it on the table. I also asked about the two-hour time limit and was told it only referred to the table seating, not the kitchen service, which was very confusing.
To make matters worse, on my final order of 13 items, a couple dishes never arrived. When I asked about them, the server explained that the kitchen had already closed and would not prepare the missing items even though it was their fault. While I do not fault the server personally — they were polite throughout — this policy left me feeling that customer service and the dining experience were not a priority.
In summary, the rushed ordering window, lack of upfront communication, and refusal to honor a completed order significantly diminished my experience. At the very least, guests should be told upon arrival if the kitchen is nearing closing, so they can make an informed decision before committing to the meal.
I hope you will consider this feedback seriously, as your food and concept have potential, but the way the rules are structured left me feeling unwelcome and...
Read moreMy family and I had a fantastic experience during our first visit, thanks to an excellent server named Mark. He was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share the Kpot experience. His energy made a great impression, and we were pleased to return for another visit.
Unfortunately, our second visit was disappointing. We were seated at table B6 and “greeted” by a server named Dianna L., whose attitude was shockingly disrespectful. She snatched the tablet from my son’s hand, saying, “I have to order the soup base.” Later, while we were still eating, she abruptly asked for the tablet to check how much time we had left. She informed us that we couldn’t order anything 30 minutes before the end of our time — something that could’ve been communicated much more politely.
The atmosphere shifted immediately. My husband and I looked at each other and completely lost our appetites. Five minutes later, she returned to ask if we were ready to pay, which felt like we were being rushed out. While my husband prepared to say something, we wrapped things up and left. We were not sure if she was upset to serve a black family, but we felt awful being at the establishment.
This second experience left a very negative impression. Dianna’s attitude was in stark contrast to Mark’s outstanding service. If the restaurant had more staff like Mark, we’d be regulars without hesitation. Staff like Dianna, however, make customers feel unwelcome — and that’s not something we’ll forget. Kpot management should reevaluate some employees who are disrespectful to particular...
Read moreKpot is a Japanese "all you can eat" restaurant where the highlight is the wide variety of meat dishes you can grill yourself at the table, along with included desserts and ice cream. While the concept is appealing, especially for those looking to eat a lot for a fixed price, the food quality doesn't quite meet expectations. The meat options, though plentiful, are of low quality, and the self-grilling process can sometimes result in unevenly cooked dishes. The desserts and ice cream, included in the price, are nothing special, but they add a fun, casual touch to the meal. What stands out, however, is the friendly and efficient service. Our waitress, Lucy, was especially attentive, quick to respond to all of our requests, and made the dining experience feel more comfortable despite the average quality of the food. The restaurant itself has a cozy, informal vibe with a typical Japanese ambiance, which makes it a suitable option for a casual night out with friends or family. Ultimately, Kpot is best for those looking for an affordable and abundant meal rather than a refined culinary experience. The fast service and all-you-can-eat offering make it an ideal choice for large groups or anyone with a big appetite, but food lovers looking for higher-quality dishes might want to explore...
