Painting with a Twist — Local services in Penn Hills

I made reservations to go to the Monroeville, PA PWAT and when I got there the front room was empty. Since I have been to PWAT in other Pittsburgh locations I was very surprised that the 7pm, Friday night class very empty. We had arrived at exactly 7pm. When we asked the very kind young lady at the desk about the class she said it was in the “back room”. When we got to the “back room” it was EXTREMELY crowded. There was only one seat available and that one seat was squeezed in. Because of my previous PWAT experience at other locations I never thought the room would be squeezed like a can of sardines and I wouldn’t be able to sit with the person I came with. I went back to the front desk and I asked for either a voucher for a future event or a refund. The young lady at the front proceeded to contact “Kim” who represented themselves as the owner. Kim very unprofessionally told me that the room holds more people than were sat and she would do NOTHING to correct the situation. I explained that she made a $70 mistake (the cost of us to go) because I like PWAT and I would tell everyone how rude and opposite this experience was from any of my other PWAT experiences at any of the other locations. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. My favorite is the South Side location where I’ve always been treated with true kindness...

Paid over 60$ for 2 take home kits on a Wednesday, was texted and called Thursday saying my order was ready replied back "Great not picking up till Friday thanks!" Thursday goes by nothing is said when I go to pick up my order during the time I scheduled to pick it up, nobody is there. Call the office number no reply, call the number that texted me earlier and she then proceeds to tell me how everybody called off due to weather and nobody is there to give me my order. Now I give her props for going semi outta her way to drop it off to me 9 HOURS PAST MY PICK UP TIME (thats why its a 2 star and not 1)....but nothing was offered to me as reimbursement, or any apologies really...then get my kit at home I bought the ones with the video included and guess what's not in my order....the the instructions on where the video is at...truly don't recommend this location, I've been to the ones at south side and Robinson...much...

I just went to a class with a family member yesterday and it was amazing! The painter, Amanda, was SO kind, friendly, and helpful! I am an amateur painter, so I had a few difficulties with the assignment, but Amanda showed me how to improve on paper and let me fix it myself on the canvas. She didn’t do it for me or get frustrated which I really liked. My relative and I ended up being the ONLY people in the class that evening, so we could go at our own pace and Amanda let us go back and fix things if we didn’t like it. She was wonderful and so encouraging! The ONLY complaint I have is that the stools were very uncomfortable and hard to sit on, as I am disabled and have trouble sitting on stools. That’s not the company’s fault I had trouble, but it would be nice if there were more seating options available. Overall, We really enjoyed our time and...
