Wow, this is truly excellent food! Top 2 best restaurants in the area Penn Hills/Monroeville, maybe the best. If you are anywhere near it, come to Fun Asian Bistro! I was very pleasantly surprised with the prices, flavors, and portions. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls, a Philadelphia roll, and a Pittsburgh roll.

My favorite roll is definitely the Pittsburgh roll. It is huge, heavy, and delicious! The sauce is somewhat sweet, but it complements the savoriness of the sushi perfectly. All the rolls were rolled expertly and came with 8 pieces. The Pittsburgh roll had a tasty, crispy breading. It is packed with deliciousness, and you can clearly taste the crab. It costs $11.50 here, but similar rolls cost about $16 elsewhere so it's a great deal!

The Philadelphia roll was quite good as well. It had plenty of cream cheese, which tasted fresh. The avocado was extremely fresh as well, and it was cut uniformly! The salmon itself was amazing. Super tender, smoky, and all around delicious.

Spring rolls were tasty and pretty cheap. You get 2 for $4. It's packed with vegetables and thin noodles. The outer shell is a bit thicker than the typical spring roll, but it's still crispy. The sauce has a good balance of spice and sweetness.

Overall, I can't wait to return to the Fun Asian Bistro. The staff seemed friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable! Just be warned that the road to the restaurant has a few potholes (that's the only issue! Other than that, AMAZING and I will come back for more sushi...

Exceptional food! I ordered through a delivery service and the food arrived very well packed and was visually stunning. I ordered 3 sushi rolls and flying fish roe. The sushi rolls were beautifully prepared, more so than most other resturants, they were also exceptionally delicious and everything was fresh tasting.

The flying fish roe was ordered with a quail egg, I recieved a post it note from the resturant along with the roe that they were out of quail eggs and because it was through a delivery service that I paid for the food, they were not able to refund the money paid for the quail egg, they instead added an extra order of the roe. As much as I was looking forward to the egg, I completly understand since the order was through a 3rd party delivery, I though taking the time to write a note of appoligy and adding the extra roe was a very nice gesture that I can't imaging most resturants would have done so.

Though it would seem insignificant to most, they also added enough packets of soy sauce to have enough for all the sushi, most places only give a few packets.

Over all there is nothing I would have changed to have been more satisfied, I think it was one of if not the best sushi I've had and I have eaten from a lot of different asian resturants. I would highly recommend them to anyone that hasn't tried them, and I will definitely be ordering...

My husband and I have gone here a dozen times or so in the last few years. Never disappointed! We ate in the restaurant tonight.

Atmosphere/service: I'm not sure if it's a permanent change or because it was a Tuesday night, but they switched to more of a "fast food" service style. You order and pay for your sushi at the front counter, someone brings it to you in takeout containers, they check on you a couple of times, and then you clear your own table in the trash can before you leave. We didn't mind one bit and always take home leftovers so it was nice that it was packaged already, but I can see how that might bother some people. The change was clearly posted on at least 3 different signs outside and inside the restaurant.

Food: we got crab rangoon, four hand rolls from the regular menu (like $6-7 each) and an order of general tsos with fried rice and an egg roll. Even though we ordered at the counter the food came out so fast and so fresh, definitely less than 10 minutes. It was so hot we had to let it sit a bit before we ate it. Everything was delicious. The general tsos had large pieces of chicken that weren't all breading. We love fun asian bistro and will keep...

Pad Thai is very tasty! I thought I would be eating just some random Asian dish, but I saw pad Thai on the menu and overheard someone else pick up their pad Thai order and she said it is very good pad Thai. So I tried it with a Thai iced tea (to go because it's not a very inviting dine-in space, they only provide counter-service, so I'd be more comfortable in my hotel room). I have had many pad Thai dishes and this one was a top 5. The flavor was perfect, I wanted more spice though. I asked for 7 out of 10 and I think it was more like a 5 on the spice scale. Very generous serving, and only $12 for the shrimp pad Thai - a great value! The tea was packaged in this nice to go pouch and the dishes in my hotel room made this meal great! I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to you, especially if you want pad Thai. Cheers!

The food was horrible. I was a regular customer. I could count on the fresh food and overall presentation of the food was impressive. Today we ordered. The food was horrible.' Slippery egg roll with a gummy salty taste, chicken smothered in salt that smelled so bad the dog did not want it and the brown edges around the avocado was icing on the cake. A total waste of $60.00. Horrid. Once they were consistent our go even if we did not have a taste for asian food. Now we know they are inconsistent and have to save foods from days earlier. At their price point the food should be better.
