The staff in this store at this location in Gulf breeze are some very racist and ignorant people. I shop here about once every month and half right, so it’s a case, shopping while being black in an all white staffed store. They follow me pretending to work in whatever area I’m in just moving the clothes on the clothing rack back and forth, until I gave them some choice words about following me. I had another encounter with an associate throwing the clothes in the bag while ringing them up. I addressed her and asked for the manager at that time. Just visited again on 12-10-24 and had another experience with another associate name Wendy the cashier. She didn’t want to give me the bags after bagging them clutching them close like it’s her personal purse said all items had to be paid for, although I had done already inserted my card while she was scanning and bagging the items. We got into a, unpleasant exchange of words about her being racist, she immediately wanted to call up her store manager Cindy if I wanted her, and I told her no, not interested in speaking with her, to many times this keeps happening, and that she knows her manager is not going to do nothing into the matter because they are all friends there and their all white and each time I’ve had this same kinda issue but with a different staff person there and Cindy has done nothing. This time I called their corporate, made a complaint of racial discrimination and asked to be contacted by whomever is over the manager Cindy. The fact that each time I’ve gone into the store to shop it’s been different staff demonstrating such vile acts of racial discrimination says it’s the culture here. The area manager name Chelsey is whom I spoke with about the numerous of issues that has happened, as well as the issue that prompted the complaint. She said an investigation was to be conducted. Any people shopping here and if you have any moral good in you, and you witness this level of inhumane, disrespectful, callous, racist, repugnant, wicked behavior, please take out the time to call their corporate and make a complaint into the matter as well as speak up and out. I hope you people working here will learn to do better for yourselves, because such way of practice will not work for you and your buddy system is not a safe place for you. Be blessed in the way...
Read morePlenty of semi-casual clothes for middle-aged me in here. I wish they had more petite skirts and pants, but I wear regular sized tops and they have tons of that. My favorite thing to do is to find a brand here I like, and then hop online to buy everything in that brand that I like, while it's on sale, and then top that with a 20% off coupon. Pretty much everything in the store goes on sale.
Yes, commenters, I agree, there is a lot of golfing/tennis/swimsuit clothing going on. There is a fair sized selection of way-too-young-for-me clothing right inside the door, but I just walk on by. I don't pay much attention to the men's department either, unless the other half asks for something. I wish they had more shoes in size little-bitty wide, but that's an issue at every store, even shoe superstores.
Home goods selection is limited and tends toward the beachy, a problem those of us who live here but don't decorate that way, but I'm sure the tourists like it fine, and if that keeps Bealls open, I can...

The prices look outrageous, but were reasonable after the coupons and sales. Some (not all) stuff is cheaply made, so watch how you wash items.
They pretty much always have a sale/coupon going on, so don't take the sticker prices at face value.
There are scanners to check the actual prices.
If you join their program, you get Bealls Bucks back. Which means you get free stuff from store credit.
The staff is very accommodating, and work hard to keep it clean....
