Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Peoria

I ordered several meat and cheese from the deli and told them in advance What day I need to pick it up and how I wanted it sliced. On the day I was to pick it up, it was not sliced and there was no one working there that day To slice it.

Not only am I very disappointed and now have to figure out where else to get it, but the manager was indifferent. He did not apologize or care, and I told him that he needs to figure out what went wrong in communication so that this does not happen in the Future. But he seemed to quickly hang up on me and did not want to speak to me. I was very polite and not a karen. This is a great place to stock up on a variety of grocery items. The cheese is of particularly good quality and rivals name brands like Sargento. The frozen meats are good especially the precooked chicken breast cubes which make great stir fry and can be used in chicken salad. There are also some fresh meats and vegetables available which are priced lower than the local grocery store. We make the store a regular stop to stock our freezer. They don't have everything that a full size grocery store has in stock but the items that the do have are good quality and often much cheaper than the...

Clean, easy parking & friendly staff. Only complaint, if you'd call it that, is they've changed the wall cooler case sections & selections towards the front of the store. Also noticed the price of some favorites REALLY gone up since my last "stocking up" to the point the "sale price" is now what the "regular price" was previously, putting the item well out of our grocery budget range now.
