I do know that a lot of the stores in the mall have closed. And I have heard from a lot of people that it's becoming like a ghost town in there. Now myself I haven't always enjoyed the mall because it is indoors where you either are able to stay warm or nice and cool as a wonderful movie theater and what stores that are left in there are great. If you want to voice your opinion, I think they should have a suggestion box. They need to find businesses that are geared more towards I don't want to see the younger generation but I do want to say more towards future products because that is what is thriving nowadays. I know this mall can be popular again they just have to look at different generations future products and find the right kind of businesses that are going to stick in there for the long run. But if they don't do it soon it's going to end up just like the South Towne mall that was in Ottawa that now only has late to businesses in it and they're not even stores their actual businesses. Our kids and younger adults need things to do and you as a mall proprietor want their money so give the kids and the younger adults and middle-aged and older adults give them somewhere to spend their money. I would rather drop off my kids at that mall with their friends to walk around the mall and shop because they'll be nice and safe and to be able to shop and get things that they actually want because you know nowadays it's all about oh Mom Dad don't pick out our colors for us just give us some money and we will go buy our own clothes or jewelry or accessories whatnot shoes. Also I didn't agree with furry babies being in there but what I do agree on is pet products or pet clothing because there are people out there that cannot have children or cannot adopt so they choose 2 adopt their own little four-legged child okay and since they can't spoiled a human child they are going to spoil they're little four-legged baby so you need to think clothing accessories whatever else possible, but no live animals. Sorry just some of my suggestions cuz I would love to see that mall saved and not turned into some office space or torn down. If the 1st Street of LaSalle 10 bring up their profits and put new stores in make the buildings look more appealing the products look more appealing than I know the small...
Read moreThey took down their reviews on their facebook page because of the honesty. Truth is, this mall SUCKS! Its 100% the owner's fault. So many opportunities to make this a great place again. I predicted that it would be closed in less then 5 years. That was 1 year ago. Since my prediction they have lost several more stores that the shoppers did not want to see go, including a huge one. JC Pennys. The owner will make several excuses to why this is but the fact is they are NOT business friendly. The way they regulate their mall policies it makes it impossible for a business to thrive there. Rent is outrageous and they wont even let you bring your business there if it doesnt live up to their standards. 4 Years to go before this mall will be gone for good. I wish the owner would wake the %$#% up
Below Is 18 stores closed (not including JC Pennys). That is more then half of the stores in the mall out of business or moved elsewhere because the owner does not know how to run a successful business. When I first predicted this place gone there were only 5 stores out of business. Half way there......
And new 2017 update! Sears just announced that they are closing end of this year too. Goodbye mall.
2018 update: Bergners gone, FYE turning into BYE, and Rue 21 is making plans to get out too. 2 years ago I predicted the mall gone in 5 years. I’ll be surprised if they last another year. Even Applebees went bankrupt because they reside on mall territory. The Peru mall was a disaster ever since the owner decided to overcharge businesses to rent there and create bogus renting...
Read moreI love the mall. I will always have my good memories there. My husband and I do a remember when . . When we walk through. I do love to walk through the mall. It's a nice place to do so. I don't like what the establishment does to the stores in the building, which is eventually run them all out. I wish they would do something nice with the closed shops. Decorate it up or something. I do like how they made an ivch area for the elderly. With my dad having his cancer it's an easy place for him to go get out and do activities. And he looks forward to it. So it's a very nice placement there. I love their benches through out, but I kind of wish it had like a sitting court area for people to hang out at. Sort of like Bloomingtons food court area. I know they have the kids center by the JcPennies entrance, but if you don't have kids it's a little awkward to just sit there. When Maid Rite was there it was the cool place to hang out. Especially in the up stairs booth section. I miss the big display they used to have for Christmas and Easter. It was so magical. But I guess that time...
