Mattress Firm Peru — Hotel in Peru

Terrible place...let me explain. We went there and bought a mattress with a check. Every thing we were told went through and we received a receipt and picked up our mattress next day. Done right? Nope. About a week later I get strange texts and phone calls from a strange man from a number coming out of Florida telling me to call him right away because there is something wrong with my account number. Sounds fishy already..I did not call him and went to my bank instead...they also said it sounded off..and my account is fine. The money was still in the account though. We called the sales lady right there from the bank and told her what was happening...she said she did not blame us for not trusting that man..she said she did not know who he was. We were not about to give out account info over the phone or write a new check when there is nothing wrong with our original check which is still good...which was accepted as through there system as good and this is why their computer allowed us to even get a receipt. We tried going out there to have them run out check again and was told the system would not allow it..and to give more information and write a new check...well...that is not happening...they will have to pay to have the first one voided before I even consider writing a new one...their system seems to have dropped the ball somewhere...NOW the very rude manager lady named Trivan ...sorry do not know correct spelling...which we never met face to face was getting very loud on the phone with my husband saying we better get out there and pay this...which is what we were trying to do all along...she was loud and rude and speaking over my husband as he was trying to explain all this to her on the phone...I could hear her and I was sitting on the other side of the couch! Gas is up in price and he was trying to tell her when we run out that way we will come in...which if she would have let him say it was in two days...Very unprofessional...meanwhile we still don’t understand what is going on and there is no apologies coming from mattress firm about this mess. We still intend to pay this but not over the phone to some weird man in Florida...we will only deal with place of purchase in Peru IL.....unfortunately we have to deal with a bully of a manager that threatens her costumers..after this mess is done we WILL NEVER DEAL WITH ANY MATTRESS FIRM AGAIN!!! We already shared this with numerous friends and colleagues...they do not even deserve one star...if they would just admitted a mistake in there system..apologized..and did not have a bully of a manager and helped us figure things out I would not have left...

This was the first time my fiancé and I have ever been to the store. We have been talking for months about getting a new and larger bed, but we’re always unsure where to start or how to approach the right mattress for us. Addendum to my above post: Our mattress and frame were delivered today. We were given a 2 hour window frame the night prior to when they would be here and then another call today to say they’d be there in 20 mins. Showed up on time, within half an hour into the start of the window frame. Literally had every thing brought in and set up within 10 minutes! Delivery was on time, quick, and efficient! Went in to look around and Justin helped us out. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. He helped us pick out the best options we were looking for as I knew I wanted a plush or pillow top. Went with the Sealy plush queen. Delivery drivers were super friendly and helpful and polite. Justin did tell me the mattress may feel a bit more firm at first so I’m still trying to adjust to that and even wondered if I got the wrong one delivered at first because it’s pretty firm but he did warn me that it could take a bit to break in. I love plush soft and it’s a bit harder than the one in the store so I’m adjusting to that still but one of the awesome selling points was a 120 night sleep guarantee so I know if it doesn’t soften up that I’m covered so not stressed at all about it. Been using it a week so far and still firm but going to give it time like he told us too as he was very helpful and answered all our questions.
