Roll Around Fun Center — Local services in Petal

I recently left a negative review that might have been unfair to this business. As a business owner myself, I should've waited until after I thought it over. There's such a thing as off nights. It's a fact. I've been going there for years and I guess I was upset that some staff changes made it feel different. I was friends with someone no longer there and it just felt different. This is a fun place to go and roller skate and have birthday parties, or for any occasion. Every business can be hard to run and costly to update and to be honest they do a good job considering the smaller population in the area. Smaller population means less ticket sales so it can be hard. This is locally owned, not done big corporation, so give em a break and just have fun. This offers something different to go out and do and as an adult who still skates, I value the place. More adults should go like I do. There's a concession area, and it's a great way to learn to skate too by going on slower nights until you get better then go on busier nights to show out. 😆. We all need to relax some and super local businesses. Some of the negative reviews seem picky and exaggerated. We can do better people. I regret my rant and I'll continue to support this place and my patronage with yours can help out be a success and stay updated. Let's do better...

When we walked in, the people who let us in were really nice. But then when we went to get our skates… I was told him my size “ 5- 1/2 please”, he immediately snapped back in an irritated tone “we don’t have half’s, pick between size 5 or 6”. The person who I was with asked if there was any little pusher things, because we needed one. He said no. Later on, I was playing the claw Machine (which by the way is horrible DO NOT waste your money on it. I picked up 5 stuffed toys, it picked them up like normal but then when it got fully up it JERKED Really hard!! I wasn’t thinking about why It did this and I spent $6 dollars on it!) Anyways while me and the person I was with was next to me was watching. The same man who was rude when getting skates came up and took our rollers. (We had gotten them from a leaving party) he said “These are meant for our little kids!” “Do these belong to somebody little In your party?!!” We said no. He said “I’m gonna take these, these are only for our little kids!”. He took and walked away fast. ?? People were running on the rink with no shoes and jumping in them, AND older kids were using them!! But he only seemed to target us. I didn’t...

Went with a group of people. There were like 13 of us. We all paid our 9 dollar fee at the door. Sadly the skates could use new shoe strings cause they are so old and tore up you can't properly lace up. As for speed skates. We were told there were no size 6 that they were all out... WHAT? HOW? THERE WERE NO ONE IN THE JOINT WEARING SPEED SKATES YET. HOW COULD THERE NOT BE ANY SIZE 6??? The ladies bathroom stalls were all duct taped closed except for one stall. The rink could use a lot of maintenance. And finally... and this past was VERY DISAPPOINTING.... They advertised "OPEN 6-10" WELL, they decided to close early.... at 9pm..... and didn't tell us they were going to close at 9pm until 8:40... WOW they wait until 20 minutes till to let anyone know they were shutting down at 9 instead of 10pm. Need new management or ownership if you ask me. And the music. Don't get me started. Someone needs to research what ROLLER SKATING MUSIC IS!!!! THIS PLACE HAS A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT THE...
