I want to start by saying that the staff and store manager at this Aldi location were very empathetic and kind following a disturbing incident my girlfriend and I experienced outside the store. While shopping, we were harassed by a loiterer who had been lingering near the entrance. The loiterer followed us to our car and started to grab our bags to "help" put groceries in the trunk. My girlfriend and I declined his offer multiple times. The situation escalated into verbal threats and ultimately a physical assault. I was punched in the jaw, resulting in a chipped tooth.
The employees showed genuine concern and support in the moment, and I sincerely appreciate their compassion. However, what has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening is Aldiās corporate response. Despite the seriousness of what happened and reports that this individual had loitered there before, Aldi as a company has shown little accountability and has offered no form of assistance, or compensation. I was villainized by Aldi. I have been coming to this Aldi's for 12 years and only has gotten worse with loiterers after Covid.
While I understand that a company canāt control every individual near their property, Aldi has a responsibility to provide a reasonably safe environment for its customers. The lack of clear security measures and the unwillingness to take further responsibility after the fact raises serious concerns about customer safety.
Again, I thank the store staff for their care and empathy, but I urge Aldi as a corporation to address this issue seriously and take steps to prevent others from going through...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSad aldi as I've been to many. Hate but have to say a lot of "reverse" racism at this location. It is blatantly evident. Just like the movies I see a white man in a different shirt walking around with a cgo gun all the time. And minions of African American people working for him. It does aboulety not take a day to maintain allocate and reallocate items at all. What's this white man get paid for . staff is brash to put it politely. A real grocery store wouldn't tolerate such ambiguous racism.. Its disgusting hearing people's walkie talkies hearing them argue over them. Cheap it is but you get what you pay for can't even get collard greens at this local. Pathetic. Shameful way to treat employees and reward the most obnoxious wish they had name tags but they're so obnoxious I know their names. Cause they are obscene. Dom , Jenn , Angel. I shouldn't know all if this mess. Just so loud and rude especially Keisha I believe very belligerent and rude you can hear them argue over a walkie talkie how pathetic. I want to buy my groceries and go not be involved in some drama. Customers even worse sorry not sorry don't want to see people in Muslim garb it America live it it's free don't cost nothing. Repressed people and this location capitalizes on that weakness ....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am very upset and plan to never shop at Aldi's again. The cashier yelled at me and my daughter after saying we need to pay attention to what we are doing. We were in line to pay for items and there is big note on debit machine saying they will not be giving out any cash at this register, however when I put debit card in to pay for my groceries the cashier hands me a $100, I asked her what is this for she said I requested $100 I told her I didn't and didn't have it in bank thats when this child of a cashier tells me and my daughter that I did request the money and that I need to pay more attention to what I am doing. I am 69 years old and I am always paying attention. I told this cashier that her sign clearly says they will not be giving out cash, yet instead of cashier questioning me about the $100 she proceed to yell that we need to pay attention. The supv comes out and tells my dtr that if I didn't have the $100 in my account the machine could not have given it to me. The $100 in my account is already targeted for another bill, so I now have to run to bank and deposit the $100 back before I have a...
