I think that this will be my last time at this location. I had a very bad experience with Fatouma and some man that implied that I was illiterate. The issue is that the cashier attempted to take an item out of my hand and then stated that she needed it. I made her aware that there was another bag of the same item in her reach and that she didn't need to try to take it out of my hand. She then went onto call me disrespectful and a liar when I reiterated that I'm not disrespectful and she did in fact reach for the bag and tugged at it. She proceeded to call on the walkie for a price check. So an older man appeared and I explained to him that having a sign indicating that the French fries are $1.99 but are in fact $6.49 is deceptive. This toothless man had the audacity to get smart and continued to say, "If you can read then you would know that's it the wrong size." Please put signs on the correct items. A young man brought my attention to the fact that the fries were the wrong price. So, I guess he's illiterate too.🙄🙄🙄
I can sympathize with those of us that work with the public. But this was too much. Fatouma acted like she was ready to get physical. It's a shame but I don't go out into the world to spend my money to deal with people who behave in such an uncivilized, disregulated, and disrespectful manner.
When the store initially opened, all of my visits were great! Security returned my wallet to me that had dropped while I was in the store. It's been rumored that the store has had alot of theft, so I can imagine that's a reason why they be on edge. However, no one should make any attempts to take anything out of...
Read moreI’ve been frequenting GO for more than 5 years in both Philly and Seattle. The affordability is a huge selling point that outweighs the noticeable drawbacks including a more limited selection of items compared to a traditional larger supermarket and poor customer service. However, today was when the balance shifted and the drawbacks shined especially vibrantly, enough for my fingers to spend a little time to type this review. My shopping experience today was like any other at GO until I got to the checkout counter to have my items scanned. The cashier who I will not name (it was on 9/3 @5:45pm) began scanning the items. Half my items had the green stickers on them as they were discounted, all $1 stickers. I noticed the cashier was simply scanning the barcode and not subtracting the discount stickers. I mentioned this after they scanned a few items. They reported having no idea about the discount stickers and appeared to not care about resolving the issue reasonably even after I politely explained my experience previously in how other cashiers have dealt with the stickers. I’ve never had an issue with a cashier from GO discounting the stickers from the total price, so I knew I wasn’t in the wrong. As mentioned above, I already expect in patronizing a GO that the customer service is below average. However, this is a new low that needs to be shared with other consumers and GO management. Please train staff properly to sufficiently perform checkout procedures. Better yet, perhaps install some self checkout machines to save the consumer the headache of having to deal with...
Read moreReally like this store. The customer service is good. However, you need to make sure old meat is off the shelves. This is the third time in the past two weeks that I have pulled meat that was expired. The first time I was able to return it, the second time I didn't even leave the store I had it returned while still at the register. This time, I likely won't be able to make it back to the store. This is disheartening, why is old meat being sold?
Update: Just spoke with a young man that works the door. Very nice man, but he was missing the point of what I was sharing with him today. I think it's great to have the option to utilize your number so you don't have to worry about not having your receipts in case of the need of a return. I want to reinforce that it should not be my duty as a customer to continue to return spoiled meat. Old meat should not...
