This is the best venue I have ever been in. Their website was a tad confusing so you might not really understand till you’re here.
Downstairs: staff directing traffic were cool, there is a bathroom almost immediately after the door, very convenient for those like me traveling long distances. There is a bar with seating and a bunch of tables to eat at. There’s also like 10 bowling lanes. Food was great and their mixed drinks were great. Wait staff were fantastic.
Upstairs: The stage, the pit, the standing bar on one side. They set the merch tables on the other side. What was really fantastic was more bathrooms on the 2nd floor! On this side there’s also like 10 more bowling lanes which practically get you access to almost side stage.
Bowling: 30$ per half hour, 5$ to rent a pair of shoes. You get a nice comfy couch and share a table with the other bowling lane. Don’t know about the downstairs lanes but the upstairs had waitstaff to take drink and food orders. So really it makes for a fantastic night.
Parking: Search for Fillmore lot, it is right next door for like 20$ CASH. This part was really confusing because they have no affiliation with this venue, but I’m trying to help those coming here for a visit so consider it a part of the experience. There is supposed to be a guy walking around to take your money so look for the guy or check the booth. He was not there but this venue allows for Re-entry so we just parked and checked back later and the guy was there to take our money.
Quite an amazing experience and I just really wanted to appreciate the three ladies at the front desk who helped me book the bowling lane, they were super nice and helpful. I hope they get...
Read moreVisited for the first time for a sold-concert. The venue is decently-sized. Parking was a bit confusing. The website lists 2 lots: 1025 North Front Street & 98 Richmond Street. The former wasn't open and the latter didn't seem like it was intended to be a parking lot anymore. I found a spot in the latter, but there was no available attendee to pay (which costs $20). Security assured me that it was okay and luckily it was! I called the venue beforehand to see if coat check was going to be available, but no one answered. Coat check is located on the second floor in the far back. There's a painted sign that points to the general direction of coat check, but they didn't have a sign or notice letting attendees know that it was unavailable. They did have two clothing racks available with hangers, but it's so out in the open and unsecured that someone could easily grab your stuff and walk away. They had food available and the pirces are a bit steep. I thought it was because it's venue food, which is typically overpriced, but they actually give you a lot. I wish they had a sample of what the servings looked like because some of the dishes could easily have been shared with 2 people. When you order, they give a table placeholder with a number and bring your food to you so you can roam around as you please. The staff, especially security, was great. They handed us water while we waited outside in the heat and cups of water while we waited for the main act. They were overall really nice and seemed like they cared about protecting the guests and the artists. This was a unique experience for an incredible concert. I look forward to coming back...
Read moreThe venue is fine, but beware of box office sales, day of show. Despite what the website postulates-There are no fees on ticket sales at the box office-nothing could be further from the truth.
Last night, I arrived, cash in hand. Since the tickets went on sale, the price went from the initial $28 to $30 "week of show" to $33 "day of show" to me standing at the box office having to pay $38?!? I mentioned to the guy in the booth that the website said $33.
"Yeah, I don't know about that, but you've got the fees." he responded.
Fees? Why am I paying any fees? I am handing you cash, and it says there are no "fees" for box office transactions. This is nothing but pure price gouging.
He apologized, but said it was out of his control.
I then told him I had stopped by the other night, when the venue was open, only to find the box office closed. He said I'd probably of paid $38 at that point as well. Seriously? Furious, I gave him $40. He gave me the ticket, and tried to shoo me away.
"I gave you $40. You owe me $2 back," I stated.
"Oh yeah, my fault," his words teeming with apathy.
Suffice it to say, I will not be attending functions at this venue again, and will encourage my friends to stay away as well. While I understand that prices do increase on the day of the show, for no logical reason but they do, having to pay "the fees" as well is obscene, and, in my opinion, stealing. Or, euphemistically...
