"Following an impressive first visit, my friends and I were eager to return for another round. During our initial experience, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and found the drinks quite satisfactory. The staff at the door were friendly, and we had a great time.
However, our second visit left us feeling quite unsettled... Upon arriving at the bar around midnight, our intention was to spend the entire night there, savoring drinks, and having a good time. Much to our surprise, our plans took an unexpected turn. When I approached the bar, ready to order and keep my tab open, the bartender informed me that the manager had mentioned "closing soon?" What sense did that make, considering it was only midnight?
The situation didn't end there. Shortly after we received our drinks and settled in, a lady who had initially greeted us at the door began extinguishing candles at tables. To our amazement, she started at our table, despite numerous unoccupied ones and she had just eaten something with garlic🤢 or it just smelled bad. This behavior, from the top down, was both off-putting and not reflective of an establishment's standards. It almost felt as if the success of the place was inconsequential. Our first visit was enjoyable, though the place was rather empty then.
My friends and I know how to enjoy ourselves without a lot of frills. The DJ's performance(foxy i believe) during our initial visit was stellar, and even on our second visit, it wasn't too shabby(not sure of the djs name), though we only caught about 30 minutes of the set.
I feel compelled to convey to Margolis that patrons should be treated respectfully. The identity of the individuals present, or those they are associated with, should not affect the level of kindness extended. There were patrons at the bar who seemed in no rush nor ruched out, and I'll leave it to your imagination who they were. I don't intend to shift the focus away from the service!!! If there are any underlying concerns about their practices, they will surface!!! Just PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER!!!
To those in the "other" category, pay close attention to your treatment and consider either reporting it to the appropriate authorities or sharing a review, much like this one, to caution others about...
Read moreWent to this place from Punchline Philly. Drinks were excellent and priced 15-18$ for their signature cocktails. Atmosphere was amazing. Low light with moving almost lava lamp esc wall accents. Big couches and lounge chairs for seating as well as stools around the bar itself. Kinda out of the way of all the busy part of the city. Would definitely recommend...
