I am here today to write this HONEST review on behalf of this establishment. Not every pot has it's own lid. Just as this, place is not for everyone, because it has animals running around everywhere.This is a" Horse Stable". Horses are animals. When has anyone ever seen, or witnessed, any stable without other normal animals about as well? Anyone ever? No,... Did not think so. So can anyone answer me this ? Who signs their child up for camp where there are animals & the MOM who knows her child best sends him to a place load with animals then wants her money back? So many late night comics will use this as material, it is that FUNNY. Now as for the attention and CARE these creatures receive is nothing short of TLC+. Do animals large and small get banged around a lot, heck yes. It is the Nature of the beast not the anyone's lack of care or attention. I know this from having been around there almost every week for the past three years. The other Reviews here are simply Out laddish, as they Ridiculous. Does any one who submitted a bad review ever read what you wrote? I did and can stand on stack of bibles to testify all FABRICATIONS. The one that takes the cake is the mom who signed her son up with "ALLERGIES" & then wanted her money back. I am all for refunding when the business did something wrong but Here it is the Mom's foolishness that simply begs nonrefundable fee. Why in the world would one write a BAD review because" you" The MOM, signed your son up for something he is allergic too???? If it were me or anyone else with a brain would also have refused to return your," silly money" really now. I have seen the kids year after year come back, through out the year, the non camping time; with their families. So proud to show off what horse they rode and just to sit and enjoy a sunny day there amongst the marvelous gardens now there. I am just around there doing my own thing,& certainly have no stake in the establishment. But to come across Blatant, Rude & out right," Lies" is Just wrong!! One a finishing note, while there painting I have seen, for myself, the horses in the pastures Knock kick bite each other, constantly. It is why I love painting the scenery out there. but to think any horses there ever has been whipped is OUTLANDISH. The review who mentioned their horses having sudden marks, Good heavens do you KNOW anything about HORSES? One or anyone who boards their horses there , does so from what I have observed is because it is a NON-PROFIT and the rates are dirt cheap. You always get what one pays for so get real. Looking for somewhere to take my partner riding for the first time and Chamounix popped up so I figured i’d drop a review! My sister and I went here for summer camp, group and individual lessons over the course of several years... I still miss the horses dearly. The company I met, including the officer who ran the camp wayyy back when, and my trainer were great! We would always drop by to visit the stables and say hello long after we stopped riding. I haven’t been back since the last time however... My family and I drove down to say hello to the horses and staff (who were sitting outside) as usual, but before I could even speak to my instructor, the owner very coldly told me they were closed, like I was a stranger? She remained quiet the rest of the time I caught up with the instructor . I was quite shocked about that one! After spending so much time at the location and money on their programs, I expected differently, or at least to be acknowledged/remembered lol! I really can’t speak for how it’s run now but this is the place that taught me so much and gave me a true passion for riding, and I cannot discount that. I just wouldn’t return under that...

Horrible experience!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My son had an allergic reaction to the animals (there are lots of animals besides the horses, many cats and dogs). He had a severe reaction on his first day and the counselor called me to come and pick him up. His reaction was so severe that I didn't send him back. My check had not been deposited so I asked for a refund. I called many many times and left several voicemail and email messages and no one called me back.

Despite my messages asking that his registration be cancelled, they deposited my check at the end of the week (my son was only there for half a day). It wasn't until I called the director, Leslie on the her personal cell phone (this was given to me by someone on the inside) that I was able to finally able to talk to a person. She was very rude and refused to give me a full refund despite the extenuating circumstances.
