Had the pleasure of visiting Hakims Bookstore for the first time this past weekend and it will definitely not be my last visit. This bookstore is amazing with books that cannot be found anywhere else that delves into the history and current experiences of African Americans. The young man, Chris who welcomed and acknowledged us immediately is extremely personable and knowledgeable. He was able to offer suggestions for books regrading herbs, as a gift for my brother. Commit to building your library by visiting Hakim's book store. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience. May you continue to grow. May you be successful. May you persevere. Congratulations on over five decades of nourishing the mind...

The staff is very friendly and we had conversations about a few topics including the community outreach and how they are the oldest Black owned bookshop in the area, I find that a pretty good find being that I randomly decided...
