Kary’s Beauty Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

Ive been going to Karys Salon for my entire childhood up until we left Philadelphia and even then my mother and i never found anywhere or anyone as good as this salon. We will absolutely travel when funds are available to use their services. I cannot wait to schedule my next visit and get my next trim with Amy. I have curly hair, i am african American and italian so my curl texture is insane. Amy has ALWAYS kept my length! She 100% never hurt me, or failed in whatever was needed when i was there. Now im planning a trip to go done again all the way from Virginia. If i cant get to Karys salon i will trim myself at home. As an adult i get to treat myself and go whenever i want. My daughter got her hair cut at Kary's. Not much to say about the cut itself, it was simply shortening the hair. What's strange is that there are no prices posted. There is no price given before services are rendered. We were charged $40 for the hair cut. No dye, no styling, no shampoo, no wash, no rinse. A simple child's haircut for $40, and of course add on tip. If the price is posted or clearly stated upfront, then this would be less of an issue, but it's as if the price was pulled out of thin air. It's a small neighborhood salon with Amy and Kary doing their thing. I use whoever is available if I don't have an appointment. I go there for coloring and for a trim. They are every customer friend.
