If I could give zero stars, I would. This review concerns such poor customer service that I have no idea how the baked goods taste.
I entered the store and No One was there except three people behind the counter. They looked at me but did not offer to help. I finally said, "Smells good! I have not been here before, how does it work?" One person explained and eventually came out with a tray. I began naming what I wanted. I requested two cannolis. The person dashed away, and I realized she was going to fill the cannolis. Meanwhile, a family of 3 (man, woman and toddler) arrived. They were immediately helped.
As I looked around at other things to get, I noticed the person helping me was gone. I waited and waited. The small family got three things. Their helper asked, "Have you been here before?" The woman said yes, and the helper said, "The cupcake (for the toddler) is on us!" The said thank you, and the woman sheepishly looked at me as I stood there waiting to complete my order. As they left I asked where my person had gone. Just then she returned with a filled pastry bag. A man and child entered and ordered six cannolis. The person helping them - the third worker -- left the cannoli shells on the counter in front of the person helping me, and proceeded to help the man with other items.
The person helping me filled my second cannoli then proceeded to fill the half-dozen in front of her. I asked if she could "please" complete my order because I had perishables in my car and was in a hurry. She said, Well, I have to help her." I explained again that I was in a hurry. She looked at me blankly, as did the other worker. No one offered to help fill the rest of my order. I finally said, "Well then, I will need to leave if I have to continue to wait." crickets
So, I left. There is a bakery not far away with amazing cannolis. I wrote a review after my second visit to ensure the tastiness and great customer service wasn't a fluke. It was not.
Termini Bros bakery has left a bad taste in my mouth without even tasting a morsel. I'm not sure if/when I will try again. For now, I'll continue to patronize the bakery that wants...
Read moreI went into Termini's to purchase a small apple pie @ $20.00 for Thanksgiving. The two women in the Bakery told me that I needed to buy a minimum of $75.00 of pies or baked goods in order for them to place the order for the small pie???? I asked them why and they told me this is the requirement for Thanksgiving and this has been done for several years now. I walked out of Termini's confused since I still do not have a reason for this ridiculous requirement. I have been coming to Termini's since I was 5 years old and have never been told that a requirement of purchasing Thanksgiving pies is $75.00. I checked out ISGRO and Varalla's Bakery and they do not require this stupid $75 minimum. I was serviced by one of the above bakeries and was able to purchase a small apple pie also at a much lower price. Now, my neighbors and cousins are buying their Thanksgiving bakery pies and other pastries from ISGRO and Varalla's and not from Termini's. Customers be aware when you try to purchase a pie from Termini's since the minimum requirement is $75.???? If the management/owners of Termini can respond to my inquiry. What is the reasoning behind your $75 minimum requirement when trying to purchase a pie from your bakery? I am a long time customer of Termini's and frequent the bakery very often since your bakery...
Read moreDon't expect a traditional bakery when you come here. This is an ITALIAN bakery. Baking up delicious old Italian treats since...well I don't even know. There's a lot of things that you'll see here that you won't see in a traditional bakery, and they do them very well. They don't over fill the treats with sugars and it's pretty neat how they handle customers.
That being said, the people working there actually come out from behind the counters to assist you instead of staying behind them. It adds more to the customer service aspect and is pretty neat. Just DONT touch any thing yourself. And if you want to try something before buying? Just ask! They'll be happy to give you a taste. They do want you to come back after all, and if you buy something you don't like, that's not a reason to return (so try it before you buy it!)
If you want one of the best items here, go for the cannoli. I wasn't impressed with their chocolate chip cookies, but some of their anise cookies and cakes specialized for Easter...
