I really love going to Muse week after week. Their classes are consistently challenging but not so exhausting that you’re out of commission for days.
I went for the fitness classes but ended up staying for the hot yoga. I was always a skeptic of yoga and thought it “wasn’t for me” but after taking a hot yoga class I was amazed at just how much of a workout it was!
The instructors lead you through the positions with modifications to make your workout/yoga experience as challenging as you’re comfortable with. The classes are actually fairly small (8 people for a fitness class but I don’t remember what the max is for yoga). Because the classes are small you get a lot of individual attention from instructors who offer advice or give recommendations to improve your form. That was a huge deal for me since I was typically the kind of person that would go to a gym and not understand how to properly lift weights. I’ve learned so much from them in the past few months of going there.
When I was recovering from a neck injury all of the instructors worked with me to ensure I got a good workout while being mindful not to push myself too far. Muse has fostered a great little fitness/yoga community here in Francisville and I’m very excited to see what the future holds for them.
If you find yourself on Ridge Ave, pop in and take a Grit fitness class, or if you’re really daring, take a hot yoga Power course! Both will leave you breathless but also wanting to come...
Read moreMuse is a quaint and unassuming yoga studio where a great class can be found. Shout out to Natalie, she is an excellent instructor and here’s why.
I am on my second week of yoga, granted I have dabbled here and there but would certainly not consider myself a practice yogi. (I am also 6’0 and a rather burly gentleman, for all those bigger guys looking for a reference.) I found Natalie’s Power class was a harmony of flow and sculpt, which for a new comer can be a lot to enter into at any studio. Natalie’s cadence and intuition ushered a great energy and atmosphere in the studio that anyone at any level can connect with. (But holy smokes, the class had me dripping, breathing, and feeling accomplished at the end). Anyone in the area or visiting Philly and needs a great spot, look up Muse and look up...
Read moreI really enjoy my membership here. They do heated vinyasa yoga classes and they have other fitness classes which are a combination of HIIT/weightlifting. I’ve never encountered a yoga studio that diversified their classes like this before and I’m so glad I found this place. I usually don’t like group workouts, but I really recommend trying their fitness classes in addition to their yoga classes.
I also really enjoy their yoga instructors. They’ve do a good job of changing up their practice and there’s a good mix of hour and 75 minute classes. The studio is heated to 95 degrees, I believe. They can accommodate a lot of folks and they’re so welcoming to newcomers. It’s a really good deal for your money. I continue to be impressed with...
