For starters, I want to say that I’ve been spending large amounts of money at this store for a few years now. Their food is mediocre at best, however the cheap prices are what kept me going back.
Had an incident this evening with a worker in regards to getting a refund for food that was contaminated with gnats. Talk about being inspired to never eating take-out pizza again!
I ordered two veggie slices and when I got home to open the box, several gnats flew out. I immediately called and told them and asked if I could get a refund.
Once I got in the store, the (new and tall) cashier guy looked inside the box and asked me where were the gnats and I told him they flew out as I mentioned over the phone. I proceeded to go to the front of the counter and waited for him to give me a refund, (in the past, whenever they give me hard/old pizza slices I’ve had to return it because it would be inedible and I’d ask for a new slice/or refund because there should be no reason why a fast food place would sell somebody pizza that’s hard as a brick!) They are always rude, however, I normally choose to eat humble pie as I’m more concerned about eating than arguing with someone and not having a meal at all.
(Back to the story) The cashier guy was extremely defensive and I told him that I was not trying to argue with him, I just simply wanted my refund. He proceeded to pick a fight with me and get loud and cause a scene while there were other customers there and even went as far as to ask people to open the box and see if they “see a fly.”😑 I’m pretty sure 90% of people would agree that by then bugs WOULD have flown out of a box that was constantly opened. He ended up telling me that the place is “certified” and basically invalidated my claims of there being gnats inside my pizza box.
The bar was always low in terms of eating mediocre pizza, however, I was not settling for food that had knats in it. Initially, I was not going to write them a bad review as I was just going to stop giving them my money but at this point, they left me no choice.
I am choosing to not give this store my money for two reasons. 1) They have always been extremely rude. 2) when faced with an issue it was not handled properly and a customer was disrespected. Completely disregarding the fact that the person in fact, regardless of the mediocre services was a loyal customer.

Read more★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing service over a simple sauce swap
I ordered a buffalo chicken quesadilla from this place and it came with salsa and sour cream. I don’t eat those, so while I was still at the counter I asked to swap for ranch or blue cheese—the standard pairing for anything buffalo. The staffer told me he had “already canceled the ticket” and couldn’t make any changes, even though the sauces were unopened and I was literally offering a 1-for-1 swap. He said I could buy a side of ranch/blue cheese, but he wouldn’t exchange the sauces that came with my order.
A simple accommodation would have fixed this in seconds. Instead, I was asked to pay extra for a basic condiment that should be offered with buffalo items in the first place. Point-of-sale limitations are not the customer’s problem, and this kind of rigidity turns a quick takeout stop into a frustrating experience. I left saying I wouldn’t be back—and I meant it.
Feedback for the owner/manager: • Let customers choose ranch/blue cheese when ordering buffalo items. • If the POS “can’t change it,” empower staff to swap unopened sauces at the counter. • Train team members to prioritize reasonable requests over “that’s our policy.”
I wanted to like this spot, but the lack of basic customer service over a tiny request lost you a...
Read moreI've had their food through UberEats in the past and it wasn't bad. Considering I was in the neighborhood, I decided to order something on my way home. As sad as I am to say, the costumer service SUCKS! During my visit to the store today, I walked into an Arabic man who had his foot up on a stool and a Bluetooth in his ear.
First he didn't greet me. After viewing the menu, I noticed there was a special for a small cheese pizza and 6 buffalo wings. In any event, the coupon (on the freshly printed menu's) for the special was expired 4/2017. I asked the man if the special was still valid. He replied yes. He rang the total and quoted the price, but I didn't understand him through his thick Arabic accent. After I asked him to repeat the total, he asked me was he speaking Chinese. I quickly replied no and explained to him that his distinctive mode of pronunciation of his language prohibited me from understanding him. He informed me that everyone else understands him except me. Frustrated and furious, I took my $20 bill out of his hand and told him, I don't do business with people who have poor customer service! I will NEVER go here again. Philadelphia has options. Fairmount pizza.....right...
