True Hand — Local services in Philadelphia

A professional and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with a very friendly team. Extremely talented artists with various styles but they all have a similar gothic or darker vein running through their work. I saw Ross Phillips and am very pleased with how my tattoo turned out. His lines are impressive and his style seen on IG looks even better on the skin. He's also very accommodating and a pleasure to talk with. I had a chance to meet other artists including the owner Mike Ski who couldn't have been more gracious. This was my first tattoo experience during the pandemic and being immunocompromised I didn't think I could get tattooed safely until I saw and read about True Hand's protocol. There is not a single tattoo artist here that I wouldn't recommend. I got a beautiful tattoo by Kate Collins and it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had getting tattooed.

The place is beautiful (it's in an old church complete with stained glass windows!) and filled with great art books for inspiration. Fun and interesting conversations with the artists (and even some clients) flow freely around the space.

Had had a design in mind for a while and found True Hand through other tattoo artists/studios I follow. I made the appointment on a whim while on a mini-vacation in Philly. Love that they're in an old church...really spacious and airy! Everything is super clean and tidy.
