The food itself was five stars. The only reason reason there is one star left out, and this just goes for being vegan. There was a little bit of uncertainty about some of the sauces and after having our server find out what was in them there was no problem. I didn’t want to be too critical. This was a Google search to find a place with vegan options and wow, I have to say this was an amazing find it’s nestled in the heart of Fishtown just off of Frankford Avenue. What a really cool place. Aside from my pet sauce peeve. This place has the best vegan wings out of the 10 places we have tried that serve vegan wings, so far. For us most places over fry the seitan and it turns out a little bit like jerky so when we go into a restaurant and order seitan wings, we ask to lightly fry them which they did and in this case, they were done perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside With a great buffalo sauce, and this order is served with Brussels that are also deep-fried and they were done just as well. Second dish we ordered was something I’ve never had before Bahn mi lettuce cups, Consisted of house mushroom walnut, pate, baked tofu, pickled veggies, seaweed and herbs, and a vegan aïoli on the side. Theses were simply food at its best perfectly done tofu the pickle veggies were a great balance of sweet with a tiny bit of salt. The leaves are handpicked to make it easy to wrap the ingredients, whoever is in the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. The final dish we shared was the red curry cheesesteak made with pulled oats cooked in a red curry sauce with vegan cheese, green peppers and caramelized onions. Just look at the picture. It tasted better than the picture looks. We have had many cheesesteak wraps and vegan cheesesteaks served on Italian rolls, and this is the best Served on a fresh Italian roll, tough call to make there are so many great vegan cheesesteaks out there, best vegan cheesesteak wrap being the joy Café. The rest of the menu is a great mix of sandwiches seafood burgers that anybody would find enticing. They put a lot of love into this menu and what a great atmosphere the outdoor seating is on the corner as you’ll see what a great way to wind down the summer hope to get back here within the...

So my friends and I have been coming here since we've moved to Philly. When we first came it was great but recently not so much. Yesterday around 3pm we went to celebrate my friend's birthday and the service was terrible. We stood at the host stand for 5+ minutes while being ignored by the servers. When they finally acknowledged us we were told just to seat ourselves. The brunette girl working brought us waters and slammed them on table. The blonde server wasn't much better. My friend, who's birthday we were celebrating, was asking about the flavor profile of the pumpkin cider and our server acted as if she was annoyed to be asked questions about a drink. Then after ordering drinks rudely asked "are you ordering food now?" My friend ended being disappointed in their pumpkin cider all because our server couldn't be bothered to take time to answer questions. I don't know what is going on here, but the service has become rather abysmal. Our server before asking if we wanted anything else went ahead and closed us out. If I am automatically made to pay 20% gratuity then my friends and I should not be treated as rudely as we have been the past two visits. I don't know if there has been a change in staff or management or what, but it definitely needs to get better. $90 just to be treated so rudely is absolutely insane. The management definitely needs to have a discussion with its servers about customer service, because of the last two visits I am sure we won't be back for some time. We will be looking for other places to enjoy times to hang out with each other. It's a real shame as we did love...

Quite good! I considered a 5 star review but a few small points made them fall shy. I called about a week in advance for a "reservation". They told me on the phone that they don't do reservations. I said it was for a party of 10, they quickly reconsidered & made a reservation. Of course, when I showed up the following Friday night, they had no record of my reservation & reminded me that they don't take reservations. :( Either way, within 15 minutes or so at the bar, they set my party up with a nice large table in the back. The service was relatively consistent. My friends were all well taken care of, except for 1 who seemed to fall off the servers radar every round. The food was delicious! Very creative menu, we had the feta stuffed beet ravioli's as an appetizer, & the fried pickles, both were outstanding. Though the beets were described a bit fancier than they actually tasted. I had the Chicken & Waffles slathered in BBQ Sauce (which was unique for Chicken & Waffles).. not the best presentation of C&W I've had but still damn good. We stayed for hours & rocked this big table in the back most of the night with consistently decent service & overall a really good time. I will definitely go back here, & recommend...

My family and I attempted to come here for breakfast. This is our second time there and really enjoyed the first experience. Well this time was so effin much different. We went in with our melanated son and was told they didn’t have any seats. They then told us it would be a 20 minute wait. Well about 10 minutes later a caucasian group walks in and is seated almost immediately. We don’t judge the situation because maybe they had reservations. However, the next group of 4 caucasians walked in and was seated immediately right after another 4 caucasians left. I approached the waiter and asked what the problem is with the melanin in my skin. Bottom line I will never ever go here again. I suggest that our people keep our money in our community. We don’t have space for a place like this. Let them keep their caucasian customers happy, but I suggest after experiencing the racism I did today that we never ever go to a place like this. A really nice little place. This was our third time, though we hadn't been there since before the pandemic. Luckily, the food was still great and there was a good selection of beers available. I had a nice New England IPA from Thin Man in New York this time around. Went well with a very tasty Crabcake Club Sandwich with a side Caesar Salad. I loved it. Thick cut bacon, nice tomatoes. My son really enjoyed his Cubano sandwich with pulled pork, ham, and cheese. He raved about the mustard sauce on it. My wife's Buffalo Cauliflower Caesar Salad was also very good, though she thought it to be pretty spicy - I did not, though. YMMV. We ate outside at a picnic table, though there was also deck and indoor seating available. A lot of staff working the place - very attentive. Perhaps not what you'd call a real value deal joint, but we found it well worth the cost. Three meals and one beer cost us around $55 total, pre-tip. I highly recommend it.
