I've completed my lease and wanted to provide an updated and more transparent review after living here for 15-months.
The property management company has changed and I noticed the building wasn't as clean as it was when I initially moved in. The walls in my unit were painted with cheap flat paint which was easily prone to staining from any liquids such as water and I found difficult to remove. This resulted in me not retaining my entire security deposit. Since there is another portion of the apartment building being actively built right next door I was able to hear everything from the workers speaking and loud noises from the construction everyday throughout my stay. I'll also note that the one way street behind the building (W Harper St) was often blocked off due to the construction resulting in drivers getting stuck or only being able to leave coming out of the one-way street. With the building being right on Girard Ave, as well, you hear everything from the streets including the firetruck and it's horn from the fire station down on 4th St and loud cars/bikes. Fortunately, I have not had my car broken into, however, be weary that is a common issue in the area especially if you're parked around the building. The building does offer security guards now which I will note however, I am uncertain of the effectiveness. No place is perfect but overall living here was positive if you can endure the noted nuisances.
From the initial tour request to finally moving in, the process was very prompt and smooth as I hoped. Gina was very responsive when I requested a tour of the units and even went as far as to FaceTime me and provide a virtual tour last minute when I requested to see another unit. She has gone above and beyond for me from the very start. Trish was also very supportive and responsive with the leasing process and my move-in. She was diligent and addressed my issues as soon as possible. I cannot be more appreciative of their help. The building is beautiful and presents a modern luxury vibe to it complimented by exceptional management and staff. Everything always looks and smells clean, from the elevators, the hallways, the gym, the rooftop, the lounge, the front desk, and so on. My unit is spacious and offers a sleek and modern aesthetic. The wide windows allow natural light to fill the unit and offer beautiful views of Philadelphia. I am overall pleased with my experience and happy to be able to call...

Do not live here, unless you don’t mind rude front desk, staff, roaches, mice, and long walks to the dumpster. This was my experience at the Veranda Apartments. When I first moved in, it was a brand new building and very exciting. Do not be fooled by the luxurious looking units. This building has a terrible infestation of rodents and is not for those who cannot stomach it. (I.e., me). I can give them credit about their maintenance man, he is very responsive, and seems to do his best with all the maintenance request that he gets. Otherwise, this place is not worth its rent. For $2000 a month, I should expect a pest free home. about the staff, Trish is very patronizing and passive aggressive. I had to be extra nice to her to ask her for simple things just so I am not met with an attitude. I even waited to write this review until after I moved out (& got my deposit) because I did not want any repercussions. Nicholas was the only good staff; every person after that was incompetent and unhelpful.
Receiving packages is a nightmare. Because of their lack of front desk presence, mail carriers and whoever else can go in and out of the mail room as they please. Packages going missing is a thing of the norm and if you ask them about it, they basically tell you you’re SOL.
Finally, read the lease carefully and take pictures when you move in. They charged me for regular wear and tear upon my move out, as well as damages that i am certain was not me but didn’t have proof of its prior existence. I hate Veranda apartments, they suck and hope they go out of business. (But probably won’t because of their propensity to keep as much of your deposit...
