This place is great, its literally filled with black history and its culture. In the lobby it has pictures hanging of their founders and of the children that trained or is currently training in their children's theater program. Inside of their actual theater, there is about 200 seats if not more. A balcony that looks like as though one would use it for VIP guest only. Lighting and sound booth, as well as a good looking stage, with dressing rooms in the back. I only know this information after inquiring about the place during my last visit. I've been here twice, once for a comedy show and the again for church. I don't know everything about this place or its history, however I do know enough that makes me want to be apart of this amazing place. It needs a little work done inside, which I believe they are in the middle of remodeling. So I cant wait to see how it looks once finished. Afterwards, I'm sure my 4 stars will turn into 5.
