This was my experience!! You may have a completely different one, although this was mine! I saw they had a 7 day free pass and as I just moved to Arizona it seemed like a good opportunity as I’m just settling in and getting a job etc. I went in but was told unfortunately even though it doesn’t say I can’t get a pass without a AZ state issued ID; my NM ID wouldn’t work for the pass. Me and the assistant manager Matt I believe came to an agreement that instead of a week I would be able to do 2 days and then meet with him on Thursday to discuss the membership. As agreed I worked out, then the next day arrived to be met with humiliation. I arrived at the gym and told the front desk staff what had happened and asked for Matt as he told me to do so the day before. I was instead met with laughter and was told “bro we don’t do a 2 day pass”. As the staff is laughing at me as they thought I was lying. Gym members are coming in and out hearing and seeing this. After insisting, they brought their general manager out and he came to talk to me. I told him the situation and he said that they don’t do passes for out of state ID’s and that he didn’t think that I understood what had happened yesterday and that some miscommunication may have happened. Later into our conversation he looked my account up and had seen that I, in-fact, did have a 2 day pass that was given to me despite my NM drivers license and didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or the employees beforehand. After all of this he then tried to say that 1 day should have been enough for me to see if I liked the gym and told me they had a promotion going on and I should try to get a membership instead of the pass. I then told him as I just moved so as a result funds are low and I get paid on Thursday so i genuinely needed this pass and I had already set up a meeting with Matt to get a membership on Thursday. A time and everything was already set up. He then said “it’s only a dollar right now you really don’t have a dollar” then told me I was okay to go workout like he was doing me some kind of favor and that was the end of our conversation. The gym is alright and for the price it’s mediocre. Although it is PACKED and you will have to wait about half of your workout for just machines or dumbbells. Although now to answer the general managers question. No I do not have a dollar and now they will not get even a dollar from me. I hope all who try this gym have a better experience than me.

On July 9, my car was hit in the parking lot while I worked out and the other driver drove away. Thankfully two people witnessed the entire incident and gave a description for an incident report. I immediately called police who gave me a case number and can pursue the hit and run drivers with a license plate number. They instructed me to get the information from the attendant on duty. The attendant took my information and said he has cameras all over the premises including where my car was hit. He however said he didn’t have access to the cameras but notified his manager. He told me to come by in the morning when management was available. I called and spoke to someone who informed me the manager was busy. As I contacted my insurance and the police department, I waited for information from EOS manager Olivia. Since I got no call or response I came by to see what was going on. She told me she couldn’t give me any information even though a crime of hit and run was caught on their cameras. When I asked what if someone had gotten hurt? She still said she won’t give me any information and gave me the runaround. Instead, I’ve been given useless emails to a district manager (who I messaged btw and still hasn’t replied) and was told some idiot from loss prevention would be reaching out to me about the hit and run captured on their cameras. Seriously?? Loss prevention??? A crime gets committed and the victim gets screwed. I hope this place goes out of business Update: 9/1/24—-as everyone can see the supposed district manager posted a reply weeks after I posted my review. Except according to his own manager—see above photo—-he was supposed to reach out to me directly since I’ve left my email and phone number with the manager. This place is fake, staff is incompetent, and the district manager’s attempt at saving face now proves it

Systemic Staff Harassment and Safety Failure

Update: Since posting this review (10/17/25), it’s escalated to public harassment and slander via fake staff accounts, issues have been forwarded to their district manager. Will update.

Been a member since June 2024 Highly consistent here: 5-6 days/week, always after 7 PM.

Overall Rating: 1/5 Stars Due to Environment and Staff Conduct but Objective Gym Facility Rating: 2/5 stars.

Pros: -Excellent selection of lifting and functional equipment (standard for the franchise though). -Main gym equipment are well maintained and usable. (Made great gains- 30lb of muscle mass regained!) 24 hour access.

Cons: -Staff Harassment (Explained Below) -Poorly Maintained Hygiene: Cleanliness is unacceptable, especially during peak hours. Bathrooms are often flooded, toiletries and gym floor paper towels are rarely restocked. Sinks are constantly covered in hair and other fluids. -Staff doesnt enforce equipment wiping -Broken/Unreliable Amenities: Accessory equipment (massage guns, chairs) is frequently broken or unavailable.

CORE ISSUE- Staff Harassment and Unsafe Environment:

My primary reason for leaving is the alarming, long-running pattern of unprofessionalism and targeted staff harassment. It ultimately resulted in a long term compromised safety environment not welcoming to workout in. To be clear- Everyone’s experience with staff will surely differ, however I have endured months of odd treatments from a handful of staff here, NEVER learning as to why.

I am a quiet, and shy, but focused member who keeps to myself. I have never had a bad interaction with staff or a member… In all truthfulness, I never even really had a prolonged interaction with staff or a member outside of saying a polite “hi” for over a year and a half. I smile and nod, but overall I come to work out, not to engage in making the gym a social hour.

Starting around May 2025, the demeanor of multiple long-term staff members who were always friendly to me before shifted dramatically from polite to openly hostile, demonstrated by sneering, glares, and persistent, focused surveillance. It was a jarring and increasing observable change from multiple staff members who had been welcoming to me in the past.

Key Incidents of Unprofessionalism: Repeated Identity Checks: I was suddenly and repeatedly asked to verify my identity upon entry, despite being a consistent and recognizable member for months, while other members passed unchallenged. I always obliged, never causing an issue.

Constant Surveillance: Multiple staff members would constantly linger near me and covertly side-eye me during my workouts for months, even still currently.

Bizarre Confrontation: In late May 25’ (a short time after the behavior shift), A specific staff member cornered me in The Tank recovery area to question me about another member supposedly sneaking in, going so far as to accuse me being said person and asking if I had changed my hair color from blonde to black to evade detection (lol????). This was an unsettling, unprofessional, and aggressive interaction based on what seemed to be highly unsubstantiated staff speculation and "social drama." I laughed confused and showed my membership app on my phone and told him he’s seen me for months with the same style and hair… he then changed the subject and ran away. Said staff member was bizarre (I believe his name is Thunder?). Surveillance, sneering, glaring, and all the odd behavior from staff CONTINUED for months even after I clarified myself. I kept attending til now despite their odd behavior.

Conclusion: This is not a safe or welcoming environment for anyone who simply wants to work out without engaging in high school social circle drama orchestrated by the staff. The unprofessionalism and immaturity are evident.

No one wants to pay to work out in a hostile environment under constant surveillance (and now an armed security guard as of October 16th, 2025.) I strongly advise potential members to seek an establishment where professionalism and a safe atmosphere are...

If l could give this location a zero l would l am truly disgusted with how they choose to go to business DO NOT sign up for personal training it's a scam when I originally signed up for my personal training, I made it very clear that I only want my first session and I am only using this so I can learn the equipment in a safe way after about 2 sessions my personal trainer ended up leaving a month went by and nobody reached out so I called this location and asked them what's going on with my personal training and they let me know that my personal trainer no longer worked there it took me calling in to see what's going on when this should've been the first red flag for me me being as upset as I was with the customer service again made sure whoever I was speaking with on the phone supposedly a manager I got transferred to letting them know that I'm not going past my contract with Personal training they told me they understood and will put a notation on my account turns out that never happened and I got put on month-to-month on May 1. I go in there again and speak with a manager. Kayna at first the conversation was going really well. He said that the original person never put a notation on my account and he will put in for an immediate cancellation at that time. And I will receive no more charges after this day l follow up and asked for some type of documentation because at this point I've heard that before I was told that that wasn't possible, but he told me he has my word and he's working on it as we speak I believe him and I go about my business about 4 weeks ago by l go in may 29th and I have received two more personal training charges. I go in there and speak with my personal trainer and he notifies me that there was never a cancellation put on my account. Kanya is there so my personal trainer pulls him up and we're having the same conversation. He tells me he's not too sure why it never went in and he will work on it as we speak. I had to stand there for my entire personal training session to make sure they did what they said that they were gonna do and was technically charged to have that conversation because they told me that I also could not get my personal training session back again I asked for some documentation proof and this time I was able to get it kanya put me on an email with proof that he reached out to upper management Cole Schindler Ang garret johnson to get me a refund to get me an immediate cancellation and nobody response I re-reach out on June 2 to see if there's any update and again no response. I go in there June 3. To try and get some more information. -Alenea A. And Ronileigh are at the desk and it were more helpful and apologetic than any manager I've ever spoken to in the building at this point in time, this is what I am notified that kayna the fitness manager no longer is the fitness manager of this location... ironic? The ladies let me know that they weren't able to see much, but they could see that Cole put in for an immediate cancellation of my personal training, but states that there is no room for a refund They point me to the new fitness manager for me to get the same runaround that there was no notations on the count so there's not much he can do. I let him know again that there was an email sent up to upper management that they took full responsibility of not doing what they were supposed to do he then reaches out to Cole I let the new fitness manager know that I again re-emailed Cole and Garrett to see if there's any update and I got no response. After he got Cole on the phone, it was was very clear that he has no intention of giving me a refund for his manager's mistakes again because there was never a notation on the account. Cole refusing to reach out and makes his new fitness manager Tell me no He does not care that the manager emailed him taking responsibility. It's just a truly sad way to...

Positive: This location is equidistant from my house in South Phoenix and my home gym (Warner Ranch). Even though it's a newer facility, I literally only pop-in to attend group fitness classes. The newest locations may feature more and/or better amenities; but it's the group fitness instructors that incentivize me to keep my membership when prevailing logic would have me go to a cheaper gym if all I wanted to do was get a workout in; especially in this economy. I literally drive all over town in order to catch classes with my favorite instructors, thankfully more locations are opening up to ameliorate this issue.

Although I tend to favor dance or step classes, I find that I keep on coming to this location to specifically attend CJ Logsdon's Saturday morning BodyPump. It's scheduled at 08:30a which isn't too early that I struggle to arrive and set-up on time; yet early enough that if I need to take a midday nap I won't have wasted half of my day. I work so hard throughout the week; long hours at work in addition to hustling to the gym right after to destress. It hardly leaves time for dinner and getting to bed on time! CJ's class is the literal light at the end of the 'tunnel' that is my M-F slog. You'd expect that I would want to sleep in and be lazy on my precious weekends. Nope. CJ's bright and cheery spirit is what motivates me to get my butt up and out of bed, do a challenging total body workout and then tackle whatever I had planned to do (usually chores or gardening).

BodyPump may at first seem intimidating. There's a lot of equipment to set-up and you are doing compound lifts for a lot of repetitions. However, CJ is always able to motivate us through each track with gentle prods. They always catch me at the exact moment I try to slack off--and they have a fantastic sense of humor (think total goober). Caution: Never believe them when they say it's the last 8 reps, as General Akbar said, "It's a trap!". All jokes aside, CJ is so welcoming and very approachable. You can ask them anything! Their guidance on form and quirky disposition is so endearing. You WILL get sore; but you do eventually get used to it and you'll love the results (both visually and in your physical ability to lift more each class)! Enough credit cannot be given to EOS's group fitness instructors. Once you find a format that you enjoy, there's no going back. They do such a great job lighting the fire that is my newfound goal to keep challenging and bettering myself; and CJ has been an essential part of that. They're an absolute treasure.

Negative: I did want to mention that I do have my separate gripes re: class scheduling especially as it pertains to safety/hygiene and optimal timing based on the typical group fitness attendee's demographics; which is middle-aged, mostly female, working a 9-5. Sadly those concerns seem to have fallen on deaf ears when I reached out to the district group fitness manager via e-mail. This is a shame as I am a long-time member and it saddens me to think that EOS does not value their loyal customers nor their group fitness classes/instructors (the emphasis always seems to be personal training). I would love for more meaningful/actionable efforts to be made in response to the feedback given on member surveys instead of simple platitudes. When you have regulars attending classes and decide to change times/formats it seems like it is done at the behest of an ill-calculated assumption instead of the more meaningful feedback from the actual customers attending the classes or the...
