Guys, if you want a 12 minute generic haircut at a "sports' barber...go somewhere else. If you are easily offended by loud music and need your mom/girlfriend/wife to tell you what type of haircut you need... go somewhere else.
NYC Barbershop is tough, gritty and real. Put your arse on the couch and wait. It may be a short wait or long wait. Either way, it's worth your time and better than anything you were doing. Bring your girl and show her how to shoot a game of pool. Yeah, they got that.
NYC Owner Joel is fast, but doesn't rush. He pays attention to the little stuff, so when you get out of the chair, you know your hair is on point. When he offers, skip looking at the back of your head in his mirror - trust me, it's done right and you dont know that much about hair anyway.
Like I said, keep on driving if you want fancy. Keep on driving if you want a manicure and a facial and a bottle of water and this month's edition of Cosmo while you wait.
If you want a 'cut that is as good as you can get, put your arse on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had read Cody Stevenās comment about the shop before going into the shop and it made me interested to go. According to what Cody said, the barber had fixed a haircut and left it nice. That takes a lot from a barber to accept that in the first place. I made my way in to not only a great atmosphere but he accepts ALL CARDS and the man can speak English pretty damn good. The conversation I had while getting a haircut was about his side of the story. It made me wonder, what did this man do to get such hate from another individual, he told me he offered for him to return when he had his check which was Friday. So not only did he fix his sons haircut but yet he offered to let him leave without paying? Thatās a great heart for someone who did their job and wasnāt expecting the money right away. Oh and about my haircut, this man is a God with the machines. Iām very impressed to say Joel has a new client based off a bad comment....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen in Phoenix about a year and a half now and couldn't find a decent Barbershop or a competent barber for that matter until i came here . Not only is my Barber great at his craft...but also fast , clean and fair with pricing ( I've actually had barbers here in Phoenix attempt to charge upwards of $50 & even more for a fade that takes my Barber less than 15 minutes , and thats before a tip or any extras... ) , i highly recommend New York City Barbershop to anyone looking for a true NYC haircut as my Barber is originally from NYC and was cutting hair in Corona ( a town in Queens known to have some of the best barbers ) , so if you ask for a razor fade , you will be getting a razor fade ( not with a foil shaver but with an actual single blade razor unlike every shop i was going to prior to finding this place ) , if you're looking or have been looking for a good haircut...look no more...this is...
